  1. Patriots will have a hard time signing FA. If they dont have a good to great qb, forget it. Same in Green Bay, no Starr, no Favre, no Rodgers forget it and remember the 20 desert years from Starr to Favre

  2. What are the chances that the gameplan to use chuks okafor at LT. Is because by defacto he would be penix’s “Right Tackle”
Because he’s left handed. Thus meaning we need a thicker back side defacto “Left Tackle” and we are going to fall back and stock the talent in the cupboard??

  3. The team is better than everyone gives them credit for….

    Let me explain:

For starters, in week 4, BOTH Mathew Judon AND Christian Gonzalez suffered season ending injuries!!!

    – 4-13 records in the 23/24 season

    – 8 of the 13 losses, meaning ~61% of all losses were by 7 points or less …. ONE SCORE GAMES!!!

Let’s take a closer look at those 7 games, shall we?:

    1 by 7pts
    1 by 5pts
    2 by 4pts
    2 by 3pts
    2 by 6pts

7 of the 8 losses would be won with just one more touchdown and 5 of those didn’t even need the extra point. So that means that just one touchdown in each of those games and we’re 11-6!?!? WTF? 12-5 if we get 8 points….

Is it unreasonable to say that in a decent amount if those games, Christian and Matt might have collectively made the difference?

My point is we may very well make the playoffs next season. Pops is a beast and is in year two. Stevenson is a DAWG. GONZALES AND JUDON ARE BACK. UCHE US BACK. DUGGAR. I could go on and on, but let’s hope losing Bill doesn’t mean that we lose those close margins and just suck ass without him.

  4. They need to move the draft up in the calendar…at this point I don't care anymore…the only people that know what will happen are not on TV and if they are they're coy as F….so please for the love of Gawd let's get to it sooner

  5. Lamar Jackson a hall of famer???? Why do people think his is so good? He can barely win a playoff game. He chokes in the biggest moments. He’ll never get it done. The more I hear about Wolfe, the more I think we’re gonna turn into the Browns or the Bengals pre Joe Burrow —just a 50/50 team.

  6. this patriots roster is goddamn abysmal. If you think taking any of these top quarterbacks, it’s gonna catapult this team into a top playoff team. This regime is already lost its marbles. this team is depleted in every position and has no star potential at all trade the goddamn pick for everything you can

  7. Support a rookie QB who may not even play until late in his rookie year, if at all? What's your worry? There is no hurry. Tom, you're making much ado about nothing. Wolfe is right. Ya gotta take a good QB prospect when you have a chance to draft one. This will be a learning year for whichever QB we draft – but regardless of who's picked, he will not be thrown to the wolves. What happened re Mac Jones was the result of a perfect storm – and is highly UNlikely to be repeated here.

  8. Imagine if the Redskins take Drake maye with the second pick and the Patriots take JJ McCarthy with the third, the Cardinals phone will be ringing off the hook

  9. The BEST Patriots Talk Podcast ever. Top to bottom, Tom and Phil nailed it. I thought I couldn’t hear anymore pre-draft hype, but you guys buttoned it up tight. Bravo. Now on to Drake Maye…

  10. Matt Groh …..sigh whenever I hear Matt Groh I get Post Traumatic Bill Disorder symptoms

  11. They shouldn't draft Penix 3rd. Could get more draft picks and draft him.
Its hilarious that Curran would bust a nut if the Patriots draft McCarthy at 3. Penix is better than McCarthy

  12. Tom: PUH-LEEZE…YOU know better…as do some of US. It's disingenuous of YOU to play-act on Youtube when YOUR experience dictates that YOU know damn right well there’s NO REASONABLE REASON to get upset until AFTER THE DRAFT has taken place. YOUR act here is silly and asinine – it's as if YOU've joined the abhorrent likes of felger/jones, i.e. saying things mainly designed to bring attention to "Patriots Talk" as opposed to the reality of what YOU KNOW about how things work in the NFL. I hope not. YOU've been THE best Pats reporter over the past 25 years or so, but YOU sure as Hades won't be if this recent act continues much longer.

  13. Ha. Darrisaw would be a top 10 pick in this draft. 11 and Darrisaw for 3 and 34. Hopefully the Vikings are smart enough to just not trade Darrisaw. 11, 23 and the Vikings 2025 1st for 3 is already more than the established market price. This is why the draft needs to be held sooner, the craziness just gets out of hand the longer people speculate.

  14. It'd make more sense to roll Eliot's answers to us and then discuss them, rather than the other way around.

Curran's Kraft impression killed me LMAO.

  15. That was a terrible Robert Kraft. And a worse Vito Corleone. Pick one!

“Jonathan, Tom Jelly did an impression of me! Do I really sound like that?”
