You want to build around Wemby similar to how the bucks built around Giannis when they won a championship. Got to have shooting and spacing which the spurs don’t have. Sochan needs to improve in that area and as well as the whole team. Rather have a bench that is vet and experienced. 3 and D guys to fix spacing. A point guard who can defend
If the choice becomes between giving up all our trade capital and getting another superstar OR been average for a couple of years and loosing Wemby I say give it all up now, worth thinking about. Kinda hope they just add to the roster we have and see what happens next season before pulling the trigger
I seriously don't understand the Trae Young hype. By any accepted metric he's the worst defender in the NBA. And you want to add him to what is already one of the worst defenses in the league? Stop it with the "Wemby can hide his weaknesses". The idea is to help Wemby, not increase his defensive responsibilities.
sas are not going to get a lottery pick of their own for the next 15 years unless injury plays a factor. BUT they have nicely planned for that future 2025 Atlanta pick, 2026 pick swap, 2027 Atlanta pick, 2028 boston swap, 2030 Dallas swap… sas can still deal on 2029 pick. 2025 class is loaded so sas will prefer to keep their own pick and any other potential 2025 picks no matter what.
I don’t think it would take a lot to get Curry. If he was to get traded it would be because he ask for a trade and to a specific team. Golden state would accommodate his request and by doing that diminish his trade return. He ain’t leaving though but just saying..
All we need to do is get rid of Zach Collins and Blake Wesley bring back dejounte him with Devin would sure up the front court defense and let Wemby dominate down lown getting his 7 blocks every other game. They all can score too. Give guys more pt. Graham, Ceddy siddoko, Bassey, Osman. They need playing time. Most importantly. Pop needs to keep coming with new plays. Like the Devin/Tre and Wemby screen and roll plays. It just opens up the floor shooters. No more baseline, pass, corner 3.

The Spurs could get better value from 2 serviceable role players @ $20M each over Trae at >$40M.
