He would have at least tried. That’s more than I can say for Hali right now. I’ve supported him so much this season, and feel like an absolute fool for thinking he’d “turn it back on” for the playoffs.

Not sure if Mathurin ends up being our best player down the road…but I’m confident in this:
If a team dared somebody besides Tyrese to beat them (and thus started trapping and forcing the ball out of his hands), Benn would absolutely relish being that guy to step up.

Mathurin will be our best player in the best case scenario. Tyrese doesnt have the sort of mentality and confidence that Benny has. You need that in a franchise player. Thats why Paul George got us so far, thats why Reggie got us so far, and thats why we got blown out with Tyrese taking 7 shots.
