Luka was not efficient. Thats the problem with only scorers like Luka. If they're off that night they just become liabilities. Not giving you anything on the defensive end and shooting well on the offensive end. That's why truly great players have always been great or "good" at both sides of the ball. They still impact the game even when they're having a bad night. You can get away with it in the regular season, but not the playoffs. Paul George and James Harden can match Luka and Kyrie in scoring. Or get close enough to where the rest of the Mavs will have to beat us. Clippers are totally fine with Luka trying to play hero ball.

If Luka, at this stage of his career, loses to the Flippers for a 3rd time in the playoffs with a 2nd star (so no excuses) and bonafide role players who play defense, and the Flippers without their star player, Luka will get ripped to shreds.
Kidd should be ashamed of himself for not challenging that Harden call that would have change the momentum…I can’t believe he allowed Harden to shoot 3 free throws – and he ended up taking that damn challenge home….just SAD – Kidd should not be coaching no NBA Team….he’s definitely not ready period.

Mavs played terrible first half but second half their defense was on lock, the shots just weren’t falling. Despite the bad shooting and clippers shooting 48% from the field they still only lost by 12. If they come out next with how they came out in the second half they should have no problems
