Seems like they are concerned and rightly so. It was always headed this way IMO. Slower game, Harden/PG playing chess, Zubac using his size and strength. Wouldn’t be surprised if he struggles to get consistent minutes this series. I think OKC would be a much better matchup for him.

idk how much I would take away from that game 1. Mavs played as bad as possible. might just be a flush it game. but Gafford is a playoff rookie 😬 as we saw from Hali last night, that affects some dudes differently. he not gonna get as many wide open feeds from Luka in the slowed down slog it out pace these games become. and what you gonna do with him in a half court set? he’s a dunker spot steward and that’s kinda it. I believe in him to figure out a way to become more productive than he was yesterday, but not sure he’ll look as great as he did for them during the reg. season.
He struggles against strong bigs like Zubac, Jokic, Sabonis, Nurkic, Embiid, and AD. They’re beasts who can easily overpower him.
