  1. Orlando Magic for sure the need shooters and have the foot to đŸ’” bill, however i do think if Kings can offer 20mil a year he'd stay

  2. He might just be teasing the FO. He might really like it here. Players who are well loved in this city tend to like being in this city. Webber/Bibby/Peja/Vlade/Tyreke/even DMC/Fox.
I saw DMC a few months ago at DOCO
like wtf r u doing here when you can be anywhere else. This city showed him love, there’s a good chance he will stay.

  3. You only get so many chances to get the bag in this game. It is going to be hard for Malik to turn down a bigger contract somewhere else.

  4. He going to want max money and he going to want to start. He clearly mention that in the exit interview.
My take from that interview is that he is leaving. Worst case scenario for us. Which sucks.

  5. If Orlando offers him a deal, worth more than sac, why would he take a minimum of a 12% pay cut just for taxes?

  6. If another team offers him a starting role
 “goodbye”
he just wishes he could start next to Fox
but this org would have to upgrade Barnes
 I go where Monk goes

  7. I love Malik and will not feel any negative way if he chooses to take the bigger offer elsewhere. My main concern isn’t how weak it would leave our bench, but how we would replace the intangibles that he brings to this team. His “energy” and aura is so vital to this team full of a bunch of guys who stay in their shell so to speak.

  8. Imma be so sad I waited most of my life for this team to be good. If we lose monk they take a huge step back

  9. I been following the NBA & the Kings since 85… I can't remember a time when a player could only make more going somewhere else. Usually, the team has the ability to match any offer. How is a contract signed that puts the current team at a point that they are the ones that get screwed? Is this an NBA rule or just a bad contract negotiated by Monte?

  10. There is precedence for staying with the team you like..Austin Reeves stayed with the Lakers for less money. Hopefully, he stays.

  11. I think he is looking for both – to become a starter and get paid as a starter. Those two are not to be found, here in Sacramento. So, brace for the worst and pray that somehow, the fate is to stay here and actually that to be the right decision for both sides. I hate to ask him stay, when only Kings to benefit from this. He looks like a guy that needs something good to happen for him. Let's see what that would be.
