Are the Cleveland Cavaliers still a soft team or has the Orlando Magic series changed the narrative?

Are the Cleveland Cavaliers still a soft team or has the Orlando Magic series changed the narrative?

After the loss to the New York Knicks last year, Cleveland Cavaliers C Jarrett Allen said “the lights were too bright.

That quote was exclamation point on what the NBA already knew – the Cavs were soft.

But after 2 games against the Orlando Magic in this year’s postseason, Cleveland has looked anything but soft. Has the narrative changed based on how well the Cavs have played, or is there still more work to do for this team to shed the “soft” label?

Jason Lloyd & McNuggets play a round of “Good Cav/Bad Cav” on some pressing topics from the first two games of the playoffs for the Cavs, including questions about Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley & JB Bickerstaff.

Plus, what kind of adjustments do you expect to see from both teams in Game 3 on Thursday night? All that & more is coming on on today’s Ultimate Cavs show.

  1. you can see the effort, focus on details, and sense of urgency has been night & day better from them so far against the magic compared to last year's debacle against the knicks. the defense has been excellent and the offensive flow has been much better. they need to start hitting their 3s though. they were horrid in game 1 & just ok in game 2. if they can get by the magic, that's not going to cut it in rd 2.
