It Was Never Supposed To End Like This For Klay Thompson
Klay Thompson is a living legend who has accomplished more in Golden State than most players dream of, Klay accomplishing so much in Golden State alongside Steph and Dray has some fans wanting to retain him at all costs but as things stand it seems that Klay might have other plans.
This is a dialogue about Klay Thompson’s next move.

seeing him unable to shoot his way out after 8 open shots gotta be demoralizing as a teammate/spectator, no amount of defense can cover that. Ik he got 4 rings but wouldn't you want a 5th ring to edge out lebron? Hope he gets better, hate to see Klay like this again
Let bruh go…. nothing wrong with both moving forward…Klay in Dallas tho 👀
After years of cooking, Klay been reassigned to dish WASHER
Klay gonna look good in a Magic jersey
Andre Igudala sacrificed for the team. Now it is your turn. 13 years a starter. Be humble.
Hes not the same Klay, unfortunately
Golden State Nuggets
I would personally see coming off the bench as a shot of earning 6th man. No idea why these entitled b**ches see is as disrespect
Since warriors won championship no4 that’s it for them , they he done it all dynasty or not they were impeccable
Bro got payed bread and didn’t play due to injury’s some time ago , bro shouldn’t be forcing a max contract or anything …. Like bruh you got paid 25 something million and didn’t play a damn a game . And you want more while
Underperforming ????
Keep Klay if he accepts less pay. He understands his play isn't at the same level it was when he was on a max contract. Therefore he should accept that his pay shouldn't be as much anymore. In the scenario that he doesn't want less pay and wants max pay that isn't being fair to his team, they need all the money they can get to get good pieces around Steph him and green. If he demands too much money then the warriors should definitely should let him go.
Come to the Chicago bulls, it's where all starts come to die off quietly without anyone giving a 💩 judgment free zone here, buddy.
Click baiting me in with "This is crazy" makes me less likely come back. Also reinforces my decision to unsubscribe.
Money > Legacy as usual with these modern stars
Tena pai bless you klayk keep safe and healthy and have good health care 🙏 going to happen again jailbreak in the future jail time ⏲️ Japan ❤
Don't put him in a mavericks jersey. We don't want him.
I always liked Klay but the moment he started flaunting his usual four rings gesture when he was being absolutely terrible he became super annoying. Yeah dude we know you have 4 rings, but you are being ass this particular game, stop it.
The Mavs have Luke and Kyrie as the starting guards; is Klay going to displace either one?
Klay is like devin booker but blessed with rings. They both cocky they need to be humbled
Klay shoot like me in my career
Klay turned the warriors to the worriers
I know this video is about Clay but why do ppl think Draymond is still valuable or impactful. Dubs went 13 and 14 without him. If you do the math and award possible wins based on the percentage they won with him…. they still would have at best been in a 3 way tie with 49. I can’t wait until he’s not in the league. So tired of seeing him complain when he’s gets more grace than any other player. 99% of NBA players would have been benched or traded with his garbage attitude and actions.
Klay Thompson for Jonathon Issacs. Please make it happen. Good for both sides.
I don't agree that players should get an extra golden parachute for past performances. He was being paid pretty well during the championship years, he was never underpaid, and he performed the duties of his job.
Now, he feels like he is still better? He needs to prove it consistently, the NBA needs to stop paying on promises of future performance.
Their dumbass loyalty is destroying them
He not a lockdown defender anymore inconsistent on offense and needs to bench come off the bench to play less minutes
🔥🔥🔥
Warriors need to unload some big $$$. As the highest paid team in the history of sports (200$ million plus) the days of buying championships are over.
They need to trade Draymond Green, Gui Santos, Jerome Robinson, or Gary Payton ll, , Moses Moody, or Lester Quinones, and get some real big men
Not supposed to end like what? One bad game? The Warriors weren't a playoff team anyway. Klay had a pretty good season, actually.
He averaged 18 points in 29 minutes a game. He made 268 3's, 5th in the NBA, on 39% from deep while playing average defense. On the right contract, 30 out of 30 teams would be interested in Klay Thompson.
This video is BS. One play in game is meaningless, especially when every Warrior not named Steph and Draymond had a bad game.
The only way I'd want Klay on the Mavs us to replace THJ at the same money
Klay was finished after the 2nd injury period. Plus the worse part is that he is a pure jump shooter and can't even jump shoot like wtf bro your only ability is trash
Plus if Klay go to LA it will be like Ray going to Miami i will lose all respect for Klay if he does that
Resign klay trade draymond build around that
Their gonna take care of him by trading him as they should
No basketball player worth big money to play kids games
He's good still. Just not the super star he once was. Id take him over tons of players.
I can't see him as a Laker there again Lillard is a buck
Game 6 klay to Super 6 man klay. Let’s go.
Still kinda nuts to me he turned down 2y/$50M this offseason. I just don’t see how he was gonna get more than that, he is no longer a good defender at all and that’s not something that would change. He just isn’t physically capable of it anymore. Even if he hit a high volume of 3s at a good clip, that’s not raising your value much ppl know you can do that. He’s 34y 2mo old, so on his new deal he’d turn 35/36 in early February on a 2y, or 37 on a 3rd. I could see if he wanted more years than 2, but he’d have to take a little less AAV. I could see him re-signing to GSW for like 3y/$60M or something in that ballpark.
That’s really the most GSW can afford while staying under the 2nd apron and having flexibility to improve the roster via trade, and possibly have the MLE or at least the TMLE. On the open market I can’t see him getting a bunch of years from anyone. I could see a 1y balloon payment from a team who needs shooting like ORL if they strike out. Maybe 1y/$28M or something like that, maybe 1/30M with a second year team option. But I can’t imagine a team giving him like 2/60 or 3/75 or something like that. Also there aren’t many good teams w cap space, PHI isn’t gonna spend a majority of their cap on an aging Klay. It’s rly ORL, and they probably want to go after a younger player so he’d be far from their first option.
Like I said, if he wants to stay with GSW, and wants them to have any shot of being good, 3/60 is about the most they can feasibly do. The new apron rules are kicking in, which means no aggregating salaries, no taking on more $ than you send out, obviously can’t use TMLE or MLE, and a bunch of other crazy stuff. So they’re obv gonna let CP3 walk or re-sign him for the minimum if he wants to stay. 18.52M/20M/21.48M would work, 3/60 on the dot. That would be huge cap relief to only have to pay him 18.52 this year vs what he was making prior, as well as CP’s 30 coming off their books.
They can trade their ‘26/‘28 1sts, their ‘30 1st protected 21-30, as well as swaps in ‘27/‘29 and even ‘31 if they wanted. They’d have Looney’s salary, GPII’s salary, and they can put together a cpl other small deals to trade for someone making like 20-25M. Or if it’s a huge trade, they could use Wiggins salary, plus Looney and/or GPII and attach picks/swaps to that, maybe Moody also. Though I like Moody and prolly wouldn’t move him unless it was for a very very clear upgrade.
I’m not a GSW fan, just a cap nerd and I think their situation is interesting. Them, PHI, ORL, and a few others like ATL/SAS and more. There should be some fun trades this summer I would think. If you’re Klay, as long as GSW is willing to actually try to acquire talent and maximize Curry’s last x years, that’s the best situation in terms of total $ + chance to at least make a playoff run. If Philly for some reason offered him like 2/50 I’d heavily consider it as him, but I just don’t see that happening. I do think that’s what will happen…if GSW was willing to give him 2/48-50M, they’re obv willing to do 3/60. He might even be able to get 3/60 with a few million in incentives, or 3/63 with like 1M/y in incentives, something like that.
I do hope that GSW uses that flexibility to go improve their team, and not just adding one good role player w the MLE. They should definitely do that, but also be willing to at least move Wiggins (plus one of Looney or GP if needed for $) plus an unprotected pick and a swap to go get a starting caliber player. Jerami Grant would be a great fit, but him having 4 more years on his deal is rough. Maybe if they could get him for Wiggins plus Looney and one 1st you do it, 6’8+ 3&D Fs are hard to find, and he’d help without a doubt. We’ll see though.
That final look back at the court and stadium said more then anything else that happened the entire season. THAT spoke volumes.
Klay should go to whoever pays him the most. I don’t think he’s going to win another championship as the starter, and championships don’t pay bills.
He has three anyways and is not like he’s a bus driver anyways.
You should added the AI rant about coming from the bench.
This warriors team should look for big men, anyone that can defend and get rebounds. They have a huge problem with size. They don’t even need scoring from their big men, just block, get rebounds and be an animal on defense.
Klay on the Mavs could be interesting to say the least.
