Stop using recency bias to defile Beal’s name. His time here didn’t work out in the end but his work on and OFF the court is undeniable. 3x Allstar, 2nd ALL TIME!! leading scorer, and Community Assist Award Winner. He’s not some saint either but people are just being dicks for no reason..

“oh he’s so selfish” etc etc

could he have been a better player? of course. but let’s not act like he wasn’t given dog shit teams and expected to contend. he was never a “number 1” guy but he’s still a great scorer and was active in the community.

sure, he had his bad moments (covid thing, the loaded contract that we can’t really blame him for..) but he was here for nearly a decade and hardly ever complained while repping the District..

Yep. He was happy to be in DC where he could get his off-season started early and not play defense. The perfect match for Ted.

Again, some of you all sound like teenage girls. I know he’s the best thing you’ve had to root for here, but dude is still a bum.

It’s not his fault that he has the talent of a B option and was forced to be the main guy. And no one is turning down the big money. In the end I do hope Beal gets some sort of success somewhere. Bela has played with some real shit teams in DC and always played hard for us

Agreed, at the end of the day he was a good man who wanted to win in DC.

  6. Dude should’ve left in 2018 to win meaningful games but he was jealous of JWall and wanted that same love/shine. Thing is, he ain’t JWall! and he isn’t a leader, John was a leader of men and someone who could legitimately be a #1 if built around correctly. Brad held us back by keeping us in purgatory and then complained that we weren’t good enough to compete. He’s getting WORKED currently by a young guy who he could only dream of having a career similar too. Beal should’ve been gone long ago but he prioritized money and shot attempts over competing for a championship elsewhere. He’s a loser and always will be. And yes I know fellas, I’m a much bigger loser than Bradley Beal 😂 I’m also just a random guy at home on the couch enjoying hoops like the rest of us, so I’ll put my 2 cents in. Beal was cool but nobody’s getting sentimental over his departure. John Wall was and always will be DC.

We really gonna pretend there’s no truth to Beal refusing to take less money so Wall could come back in 2022 offseason and Wall’s buyout from the Rockets?

Whatever…I remember Beal being jealous it wasn’t his team and finally when Wall was out talking about this his city. He got his Supermax and got traded next offseason.

NBA is upside-down on who be getting max contracts, the market shows no mercy, but let’s not pretend Beal did either. Call it what you want but he got exactly what he wanted and we got nothing out of it, not even after we finally traded him.
