   Some highlights:

   Marks says the way Fernandez keeps players accountable drew him to him

   Shouts out Mike Brown and Sergio Scariolo as his American and European basketball fathers, respectively

   Doesn’t know how good he is at building relationships, but promises that he will try and will care

   Excited by the youth on the team

   Wants sustainable success more than automatic success

   Wants to do things “The Brooklyn Way”

   Has no doubt that we will see the effects of a winning culture right away

   Wants the team to play fast and try hard on both sides of the floor

   Believes the roster as constructed can help achieve his goals

   Prioritizes team success over individual success

   Re-signing Claxton is a priority, admires his strengths in defensive versatility, and in the pick-and-roll and dribble handoffs. Claxton is a “perfect fit” for what he wants to do and thinks he can be a Defensive Player of the Year
