    Some notes:

    – He acknowledges his job is to be the Head Coach, not the Owner, GM, Media person or sports performance person. He thinks everyone has a job and he’s going to try to be a star in his role. He’s gonna tell the team what their jobs are and he hopes to see success through that.

    – He believes in some of the players on this team but he knows the team will likely look a little different before the season stars, though he believes in Sean and his crew will do an amazing job shaping up the roster

    – When asked how he would describe himself as a coach, Jordi said the number one thing for him is to try and connect with people. He doesn’t know whether he’s good or bad but he knows he tries. Trying is the most important thing to him and that’s why he acknowledges that it’s important to not build friendships because he wants to be able to coach his players hard, especially if there’s a tough game. Competitiveness is the second important thing to him, he wants the team to fight and compete at a high level as much as possible to make the fans proud. He wants the team to compete even when no one sees them like when they’re in the gym alone. Last thing is putting the team first, players embracing their roles and ensuring they focus on team success.

    – He feels that all of his past experiences helped him with being able to adjust to different situations here.

    – He thinks its important to shape up his coaching staff specifically because it’ll allow everyone on the team to actually be themselves. He knows he has to give a structure to the Nets so that from the beginning, the players feel they have all the support they need.

    – In regards to his role with the Kings, he said despite being a Chief of Staff and leader of the defense, he considers himself strictly as a basketball coach. Not an offense coach, not a defense coach, he loves both as he approaches them different ways. However, his coaching staff is going to have people doing different jobs and he wants all of them to grow.

    – In regards to ***Nic Claxton***, he feels defensively that Nic is a very versatile player and his versatility allows the Nets to play in different ways and that Nic can be a potential DPOTY last year. One thing Nic did very well was his dribble handoff game, though he didn’t do it nearly enough. He’s looking forward to hopefully having Nic next year because that’s how he (Jordi) loves to play.

    – He finds the young core exciting because they have so much more room to improve (mentions Noah’s growth from the G League to the Nets) but he wants Noah’s summer to be very structured and organized

    – Jordi’s gonna cook for some of the players lmao.

    – When asked about balancing his upcoming busy summer, he plans to make sure that everything’s in place and functioning with his coaching staff. Speaking of which, he plans on being around the Summer Team when they play in Vegas before the Olympics.

    – A lot of his very close friends have been incredibly supportive of him getting this job and they’ve all given him advice but he didn’t want to mention any names.

    – He’s getting a PHD! He’s one article away from doing so!

    – To the Brooklyn Nets fans, he said “we’re gonna fight really hard, they’re gonna be proud of watching this very competitive team that fights and can identify with a team that’s connected. This team is gonna be selfless, this team is gonna have Brooklyn across their chests so they’re gonna do what’s the most important for that. They’re gonna be connected, competitive and selfless.
