Willie doesn't have the team playing as a team. He relies so much on CJ, BI, and get this, even Larry. He doesn't want to hurt player's feelings by benching them or making adjustments. He wasted Jordan Hawkins rookie season.
Many things can be true at the same time. I’m watching a lot of playoff games and no one is dealing with what BI is having to deal with. Man runs into him, doesn’t allow him to land and nothing. No freedom of movement off bal, getting pushed while literally just walking. AT THE SAME TIME. BI can’t just sit there and try to make the “right play”. Use his aggressiveness and force officials to call shit. But when ur taking yourself out then plays that’s not putting pressure on anyone. For as bad as CJ is playing at least he is trying. BI shortly 7/14. Good, shoot more. Look at SGA shooting split, it ain’t that high but he putting pressure on the defense. You can’t just roll over like that BI even if the refs are clearly against you
What’s disappointing to me about BI is he’s a max player who’s been in the league long enough to know he could use 10,15 pounds. He’s been “Dorted “ this entire series.
CJ is obviously not the answer and it sounds like we are stuck with him. SIX turnovers. Id rather have seen Hawkins instead of CJ. No CJ in game four!

If I was Zion and they extend BI, I would demand a trade. They screwed Zion since day one announcing BI last in the line-ups. I know that sounds dumb but it shows what the upper management think of you. Pack your stuff Zion and bolt. There is a reason no superstar will stay in NO.
It’s not just missing out on developing Hawkins. It’s how crazy the money CJ is making to stink in clutch moments.

Willie needed to give Hawkins more minutes leading into the playoffs were lacking more shooters.. if Thunder want to put all their defence on BI and Trey then get Hawkins out there with them for some open 3s… CJ was terrible but he wasnt the only 1..
But yeah everytime he brings Hawkins on the games over cmon Willie if he's our guy for next year he can't be so stubborn making changes

I honestly think Hawkins can bring as much if not more than what CJ is giving us – in the postseason I'd like to see them trade CJ and get a big who can shoot 3s to team up with Zion
This was a complete embarrassment, and pretty much summed up our season. Even with Zion, we managed to lose 15-20 games when we had double digit leads late in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Total embarrassment!!!!

Zion can get his shot off against any defense, ie zone defenses, match up zone defenses. The others cannot be as effective unless Zion is in the lineup. The defense needs its full energy in stopping Zion’s relentless pursuit to the basket. Thus, making it easier for others to get their shots off. Playoff basketball is very physical. The others are finesse players. This is showing in this series. Zion is ultra aggressive most of the time and the defense must use 3 or more defenders to stop him. The others feed off this and its hides their deficiencies since their aggressiveness and physicality isn’t needed.
Without Zion in there the Pelicans have match-up problems on both ends of the court. Teams can now concentrate on the Pelican’s soft game. And this is showing in this series. Zion is their future star. They must build around him. He being the first option!
There were a lot of empty seats at the game, and it's sad to see especially it being a playoff game
CJ has got to go. Griffin signed him to a 2 yr extension this year for $65 Million. This shows how much he doesn’t know about the league. This decision alone will cripple us for two more years, unless we can ship him off without losing $MILLIONS!!!
BI has been a letdown. I expected more from him.
Trade CJ & BI, JV and Larry, regardless of the cost. Bring in dominant center who can defend and score?, and bring in 2 young guards who can shoot & defend like Dort & J Williams of OKC. Even consider trading ZION to get 2 superstar power forwards,
With Trey, Herb, Naji, Hawk & Jose, a dominant center, 2 dominant forwards and 2 guards that can play like guards for OKC, you would have a contender & not pretender!

Trade Zion he's overpaid
BI is obviously not in peak form since coming back from his injury The Pels's biggest issues are the same that they've had all season, a defender who can be a rim protector and a defender who guards big strong frontline players… The Pels swept the Lakers in the season series two years ago and gave the Suns a tight battle. BI was amazing down the strength… but a huge unsung strength they had then was Jackson Hayes who could do some of those things … They also lack a reliable great rebounder another issue is that they just need more time together as a team … I thought at the beginning of the season that if all went great health wise the Pels ceiling was the second round … I think, they'd at least be 1-2 in this series if Zion was playing …If you replaced BI and Cj with any other 2 players at their position I think they'd still be down – 1-2 …n a big reason is the rim protection Chet gives them, .. that the Pels don't have at all
