Would getting swept in NBA Playoffs force big changes in the offseason for New Orleans Pelicans?
The New Orleans Pelicans are on the brink of being swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the NBA Playoffs but could that be a good thing? Jake Madison explains that he doesn’t think it matters either way and that there are big changes coming for the Pels this offseason. And for the love of God can someone rather it be players coaches are the organization headed into next season be more vocal and not be afraid to catch a fine I mean if the leader of the NBA LeBron James can criticize referees and throw tantrums on the court and no fine or suspension ever comes his way then do what he does stop being so scary it's never going to change if you're not vocal or if you're not standing up hopefully that is addressed because it's definitely a turn off to see throughout the entirety of the season and then you watch other players coaches be vocal yet we're sitting here turning the other cheek I hope and pray that changes

If your star player (Zion) doesn't mesh with your number 2 player (BI), you GET RID of your number 2 player, PERIOD… Not the Pelicans, they are dumb as hell. SMH…

DG has pissed every single asset from the AD trade away; always moving back in the draft and completely missing on EVERY. SINGLE. PICK. And he used picks to get off those picks they traded back on…NAW, Jaxon Hayes, EJ, etc. He needs to go.
Willie Green is a nice guy, but that’s not what we need. His adjustments are awful; his schemes are terrible. He gets out-coached time after time.
I’ve been banging this drum for awhile now. This isn’t “recency bias”. DG, Willie and even BI need to go. Love BI, but long-range mid jumpers and fade-aways aren’t going to get it done. Period.
Also, not going off a single series: this has been happening since Willie took over. We haven’t made or made it out of the first round…with a treasure trove of picks and a No. 1 & 2 pick.

We’ve needed a stretch five and a true PG since Griffin became GM. Neither position has been addressed under his tenure and personally, I’ve were doomed no matter who we played in the playoffs without Zion.
There is no way around it! The New Orleans Pelicans need to rehaul this team. It is just that plain and simple! I don't care that OKC is the # 1 seed in the West, and the Pels are the #8. This young OKC team really has no business dominating the more experienced Pels team like they own them! The Pels has too many experienced players to look this bad to a young team this inexperienced with the playoffs. But, its all about being mentally and physically tough! OKC looks strong and decisive while the Pels looks weak and confused! SGA looks like an alpha male leading OKC with his top "dog" Jalen Williams barking. BI and CJ looking at each other like nobody on the Pels wants to take the lead!!! It is embarrassing for this Pels team. They are in need of a rim protecting Center who can also be mobile enough to play defense on the perimeter and shoot 3's. They need to get Zion to develop a consistent mid range shot, or he will never be able to finish a season for the Pels much less be available by playoff time. If they can't get BI to accept their game plan of shooting more three point shots, they will have to move on from him. They can't afford to keep him if he is not willing to cooperate with the coaches. They need to acquire a PF who is between 6'8" – 6'10" and 235lbs. to 250lbs. 3 and D type of a player. They need to transform Trey Murphy into that kind of player who they post up down low and get him scoring in the paint more. They also need to acquire a play making point guard who is at least 6'3" or 6'4" no more undersized guys. As you can see, David Griffin has his work cut out on him to try to get the right players on their roster and the coaches need to do much better job developing the players that they already have on the team!

Refsss..when they tipped off and pels had ball but they blew a whistle right from the start, I knew it would be a ref ruled game..Grant it, the team did not totally perform well and that could be about the refs calling everything on the pelicans, including batting their. eyes. When you know that it is an uphill battle its horrible on your team spirit. No matter how hard you play, the refs are going to favor the number 1 team and the coach of the year. Not an excuse to not give 1000% but they are human. Pels will win Monday so that the OKC can win at home.

I mean, I think getting 4 play-off games in a row of terrible play from BI and CJ, would definitely be something they should think about.
Ant is what a number one pick in the draft is supposed to look like. I don’t see how we can trust Zion to FA consistently be at his correct weight and condition. B be dominant for the whole season without getting hurt. C actually be available for the postseason let alone stay healthy playing 38-40 min a night in with playoff intensity. BI is not a number 1, but he and CJ have been available for post season play
