My first reaction was to roll my eyes as playing in Europe is almost punishment in the NFL but here me out…

The NBA is very popular in Europe and we are going to be able to put on an exhibition for them. This could go a long way to raising our teams profile internationally and maybe the next Wemby will be in the crowd and dream of someday playing here in Indy. That wouldn’t be so bad.

I can’t think of a better team to represent the NBA internationally than us and showcase the pace and excitement of modern ball. The more it sinks in the more this seems like a priveledge and signals to me that our franchise is on a trajectory to do great things in the near future and the league knows, nay even wants it. Silver could send any teM to play the prodigal son but he chose us? Thats kind of hard to wrap my head around as someone who has been watching this team get done dirty for decades.

This better be in lieu of a trip to San Antonio. With how close the playoff race was this year every game matters and if this is made to be a “neutral” court then it will give other teams in our division/conference an advantage if they don’t have to do the same thing.

It’s cool that these will be big games but it is not so cool that I can’t have vs Spurs as part of my ticket package

Last year I got screwed out of going to the Falcons-Jaguars game because they played it in London. I’m still pissed about it.

I’m currently on a trip in Europe (France, Switzerland, Spain) & I’m usually sporting some type of Pacers gear, usually a pullover.

And on 3 separate occasions, including the Train I’m currently sitting on heading to Barcelona, has someone unprompted said to me “Go Pacers” or “Are you a Pacers fan? Me too!”. I’m really impressed by their international appeal.

I think this is the NBA noticing that too & pairing them with the local hero to drive viewership & fans abroad… & I love it!

People clowned the 5pm Friday game 3 start time, but Europeans (mostly +6 hours from ET) are able to watch that time.

NBA is cooking abroad & the Pacers are likely to win big from this!!!

    Go Pacers!

These should count as Spurs home games lol.

  7. As an European Pacers fan, I approve. Definetly going.
