Basically the Magic moved Isaac to the bench and Carter Jr to the starting lineup, upping Banchero/Suggs/Wagner’s usage rate and having Banchero play much more aggressive. They’ve also surprisingly been isolating Mobley and scoring very effectively against him which, as a Mobley defender, I found surprising and troubling.
The rest is communication/defensive breakdowns and mistakes by the Cavs. Several of which came from Niang (worst player on the court in any playoff series rn).
It’s very concerning that both the offense and defense has been struggling in Orlando, but it explains the blowouts when a team is beating you on both sides of the ball. I don’t know if guys will start hitting their shots, but a reasonable coach should be able to adjust to a simple change to the starting lineup and plan for the opponent’s best player to actually play like one. Too bad we don’t have a reasonable coach.
