With rumors starting about the Sun’s rebuilding and Durant potential wanting to leave, I was curious on peoples thoughts on Spurs acquiring him?
I don’t know contract stuff but found this proposal https://www.yardbarker.com/nba/articles/blockbuster_trade_proposal_sends_suns_kevin_durant_to_spurs/s1_17038_40300179
Still think we would need a pg upgrade and send out Graham instead of Collins.

No, thank you. KD has had problems everywhere he’s been.
KD is a fantastic player who unfortunately doesn’t fit in our timeline. We have at least one more year of rebuilding before we should consider adding a contending piece like KD.
The suns aren’t gonna rebuild anytime soon lol, they don’t own their picks from **2025-2030** (via ownership or swaps). They’re gonna cling to competitiveness for as long as they can.
Listen to Draymond on this one. They didn’t need him to win a ring and he won’t win another without a Dream Team like convergence.
No, keep d youth movement & don’t let termites invade the core…
At this point in his career, Durant is overrated offensively but underrated defensively. Why not.
We’ll have plenty interest from ring-chasing vets soon. Just sign him for something closer to the vet minimum after his contract expires and have him come off the bench.
No
Just knowing the Suns are going to struggle for a long time brings a smile to my face.
If an old guy wants to tank their trade value and force their way here, that’s cool. As long as they have a short contract.
But we are not giving up assets for geezers.
I’d love to have Kevin Durant force his way here for pennies or LeBron opt out and sign a short term deal in FA. I don’t care that they’re geezers, they’re great geezers and would be worth adding in those cases.
We are not trading real assets for geezers though. It’s not something you even consider.
Too short sided imo
This is a terrible, terrible trade. Nothing against Durant. He’s awesome. He’s also at the very Twilight of his career, not under contract long-term, and about his untrustworthy of a personality as there is in the NBA when it comes to being someone I would trust to stick around
Honestly, even if he was 29, I’d be hesitant to make that trade and expect him to stay with the Spurs beyond the last year of his contract
If For some reason San Antonio wants to burn Johnson and four first rounders. They might as well call up Detroit, Cleveland, and Atlanta and see what it would cost to get Cade/Mitchel/garland/dj/young. All of those guys are much more on the Spurs timeline And a couple of them would be way cheaper
Not actually advocating for making a trade like that. Just saying if the Spurs want to blow their assets, there are smarter ways to do it than chasing KD
Remove the 2025 atl pick and give the swap instead and it’s a deal
KD ruins teams ever since leaving Golden State
No thank you
Dang that ship sailed a long time ago. I remember when it was rumored that he would come to the Spurs before the GS trade
I hate to say it to a fellow Spurs fan, but, you don’t know ball.
Please keep these asinine thoughts to yourself.
I’ll give them 3 2nd round picks.
I WANT BOOKER!
No thanks. Like at all. I’ll take Booker though.
The Suns won’t trade KD. They really can’t do anything to improve their team. Their only course of action is to run it back and hope Beal can play better and they learn how to play together.
Windy has said the spurs are looking for a star who is on their third contract. Kd doesn’t really fit the bill for that
The only thing our young superstar needs to thrive is an injury prone 36 year old who is never happy. For the record, I’m a huge KD fan. But he’s not what we need.
Hell no
My opinion on this is that it’s garbage and people need to stop making trade proposals of a team two years into a rebuild trading away massive draft capital!!!!!
