In addition to being totally unfair and bullshit this type of officiating really makes the game harder to watch. When refs are calling ticky-tack for one team and letting everything slide for the other it creates confusion about what is allowed and the game you just tend to see a lot more stoppages at weird times. IMO it fucks with the flow and entertainment value.
