We are one of the worst matchups for the Bucks because they can’t match our pace, and their backcourt isn’t good enough defensively to slow the game down. Giannis averaged 40 and 15 against us in the regular season, and they still almost got swept in the series. Anyone who paid attention knew this was going to be a tough series for them, even at full strength.

My only disappointment is that Bucks fans are using the injuries as an excuse when there was a pretty good chance we could have won the series with them at full strength.

Hakeem Olajuwon’s playoff success summed up in one picture:

Not to mention Portis being taken out of the game by injuring his hand in Q1 last night

  4. No_Divide6089

They forgot to add a picture of Jrue Holiday in a Celtics uni šŸ™„

Not Indy’s fault that their opponent have a lengthy injury list. You can only play who’s available I guess.

  6. Someone remind them how they won their series against the Nets in 2021

  7. ShankyShoe

Availability is your best ability. If they canā€™t be available, how is that the Pacersā€™ fault?

  8. Lol let them continue it is entertaining seeing their dumpster fire of a fan base šŸ¤£ šŸ˜‚

  9. FreshShift376

Part of a players skill set is their ability to be available. They knew Dameā€™s age and injury history when they traded for him.

Bucks need to look at their own front office but thatā€™s hard, fans are always annoyingly pro-management.

I’m a Bucks fan, and I agree that you can only play who’s in front of you, but you have to admit it would’ve been better if both teams were healthy. It’s like beating up someone with one arm. Anyways I enjoyed watching Middleton make the last 2 games interesting.
I will say the young guys you have are fun to watch. I’m sure the series is over, so good luck after this and see you next year

Guarantee if any of our guys were injured they would ā€œthatā€™s just part of basketball.ā€ But of course since itā€™s *their* guys, thatā€™s the only reason weā€™re winning. Their fan base is so fucking stupid.

  12. noah_ichiban

Who cares what stupid Bucks fans think? Every game I love our guys a little more.

  13. If ā€œIfsā€ and ā€œbutsā€ were candy and nuts every team would win every year.

  14. hadesscion

I mean, without Giannis and Lillard the Bucks still shot 51%. And lost.

  15. Let them cope in peace. They’re not worth worrying about.

  16. DemonsAreMyFriends1

Our team is young, their team is older. The season is long. GTFOH!

  17. 2-59project

Itā€™s noteworthy that in the screenshot of Dame being injured the Pacers are already winning 29-16, almost doubling up on the Bucks. We beat them before their injuries and we beat them after their injuries

  18. phil_mccrotch

The injuries during the series are because they canā€™t keep our pace. Itā€™s not coincidence.

  19. thebradley87

Again, who cares? They’re gonna cope. That’s life. Let them bask in their moral victory / literal defeat.

  20. Lake_Shore_Drive

Starting to look like Portland won that Dame trade

  21. Do bucks fans forget how they were helped by injuries in the ecf against the nets?

  22. bigchrisv69

7-2 between regular and post season. Easy to tell whoā€™s better

  23. jeremycrackcorn

Fill your team with old dudes and what do you know? They start breaking down at the end of the season.

  24. Superfuntime14

LoL Pacers are 6-2 in the last 8 meetings vs the Bucks, injuries aren’t that much of a thing we’re just better. Go Pacers šŸ”„šŸ’Æ

  25. nott_terrible

why are you guys taking this so personally? everyone is right, of course the series is easier for us without their stars. Yes, that means we didn’t prove nearly as much as if we played the stars.

Okay? Who cares? If we beat a group of roleplayers (literally) tomorrow, then we earn the opportunity to make that a narrative which ends 2 weeks after it started. Whether or not we do that, who knows, but there’s really no reason to be bitter over people putting an asterisk on this win. Like, it’s true, and it happens all the time. Hopefully next season we get the chance to play them in the postseason at full strength and see how we fare against that test.

By the way, we absolutely have the ability to choke in a spectacular fashion still, be careful writing checks right now fellas

They didn’t feel this way the year they won that championship when Kyrie and Durant went down.
