  1. Bob Myers should be ceo no way should he be working under pelinka in any form

  2. Polychrome-Iguana

Doesn’t matter, Rambis will tell Jeannie to trade for Trae Young or some shit and we’ll find ourselves in the play-in tournament for the 3rd straight year.

  3. Awesomefan09

Why promote Pelinka? Just bring in Bob Myers as President of Basketball Operations.

The Sixers brought in Daryl Morey as President of Basketball Operations in 2020. Elton Brand is still there doing fuck all. Other teams negotiate with Morey.

  4. ImprovementSilly2895

Pelinka has been an abject failure. He should be fired.

  5. UglyForNoReason

Do that, except, just fire Rob. He’s useless.

  6. itsnotreallyme0

Rob has been way more good than bad. Dumbass new fans in here are so reactionary and emotional.

Ham is the FIRST change that needs to happen. After that, let rob make small signings/trades that can help the team. They really only needed a little help to beat the champs. Healthy vand would’ve easily been the difference between a win or a loss in 2-3 games. This is a GOOD team that just needs 1 or 2 minor improvements that can be solved with good FA, draft, or small trade.

  7. Illustrious-Fig6819

Goddamn Perk is fat af. Bro needs to get a trainer asap

  8. Vegasguy3124

Mayers wants a VP role. Pelinka will need to be let go.

  9. You guys forget Bob Meyers gave Poole that horrendous contract? Hard pass

  10. Kobe_stan_

Those guys have the exact same build and could easily swap outfits here lol

  11. If people actually looked at what Pelinka has done, they would be surprised how good he’s been. All the way back to 2020 when he was getting blue-balled by Kawhi and still got Danny Green in his last year of productivity. In 21 he got I believe the top 2 6MOTY to a championship roster, and the Westbrook trade was the fault of everyone, not one single person. Then he got Rui for nothing, got Gabe for a good deal (unfortunate about the injuries), made the mid-season trade that literally saved the season, and more.

He’s made mistakes, he’s also been really good IMO, and I don’t see who lakers fans would want to replace him with.

  12. StoneColdAM

They should be equals like Magic and Rob were. Myers does the team building as GM, Rob runs the rest and helps close deals

  13. xreddawgx

Bob to President of basketball operations. Rob will have to run every signing and trade through him that way. And by proxy so wil AD and Lebron.

  14. ohveeohexoh

bob myers is overrated. he lucked into steph having ankle issues and then KD going to the warriors because of the cap boom. he jumped ship when shit hit the fan.

  15. CabbageStockExchange

Myers is overrated. Hard pass on him

  16. Yommination

Do idiots really think Pelinka has done a good job putting rosters around Bron and AD? Since 2021 he’s done a miserable job of that. He loves undersized guards for the MLE and hates getting actual rebounding and size. His team composition sucks. Didn’t even mention the atrocious Westbrick trade. And if that one was a LeGM move, then what good is Rob? He also hired Darvin Hamas and totally blew last years draft

  17. blckblt416

I think they’ll help Rob save face by giving him a new job title while they bring someone else in to build the roster.

  18. secretreddname

Myers left GSW when he knew they couldn’t compete anymore with their contracts lol

  19. LudwigNasche

This is pretty much what I’ve been preaching. Myers is a certified roster builder and while the Dubs owner has a deep pocket, you can’t do anything without a clear basketball vision and roster cohesiveness.

  20. Bob Meyers could get any job in nba likely

I think he likes nfl consulting and the tv gig

  21. chaosworld6

You do know Bob Myers is going to be working with the Washington Commanders right? Delete this post

  22. CradleRockStyle

Rob with some very questionable fashion decisions…

  23. StacksHoodini

There’s no functional difference between Pelinka’s duties whether his title is VP of operations or P of operations.

But if one had to be over the other, there’s no way you’d take Bob Myers and make Rob Pelinka his boss.

  24. SpudzNBudzInc

why should pelinka be promoted dude has made some awful moves since the 2020 title if anything i’d like to see bob myers replace pelinka

  25. Miserable-Lawyer-233

Just fire Pelinka and hire Myers. Pelinka’s player choices have been terrible.

  26. > Pelinka is currently the vice president of basketball operations and general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers

Bob myers had 14 years as Arn Tellem’s top agent and was GM of GSW 2012-2023, with president of basketball operation, 2x Executive of the Year . GSW got 4 rings on his watch

There’s no way he’s operating under Pelinka.

Meanwhile Pelinka is close to Jeannie via the lakers/kobe relationship. Pelinka brought in a ring, though he has his share of Klangers and wasn’t responsible for LBJ . Myers didn’t bring in Steph or Klay

You could maybe hire myers in the Jerry West role as a consultant. But I doubt it

There can be only one person

  27. Impressive-Emu6702

Lol Myers would never come here to work below bum ass Rob Pelinka

  28. JesusDaBeast

    PROMOTE??!?! PELINKA???

No. And Myers should definitely not work under Pelinka. In any form

  29. ProfessorTicklebutts

Jesus you guys have no fucking idea how any of this works.

  30. ProfessorTicklebutts

Woj belly looks tame in comparison. He probably loves standing next to Perk.

  31. What the fuck has bob myers done lmao? Outside of curry Klay and dray they haven’t made one good draft pick lol. Kuminga and Moodys absolute ceilings are decent role players.
