  1. The Sixers were never expected to compete this year.

They traded Harden for assets for a future piece and an end-of-career Batum essentially (Covington was hurt).

The team was the two guys, an overachieving minimum Oubre, the oldest guy in the NBA, the historically bad Tobias Harris, old Batum and some mediocre role players.

Embiid missed more than half the season, so they doubled down on their holding pattern by not committing to any more significant trades at the deadline.

The one guy (Buddy) they splurged on got zapped by the space jam aliens and forgot how to play.

Tobias Harris fell off a cliff so they've been waiting for that contract to expire this offseason.

Now they have cap space for the first time in half a decade with assets to make something happen.

Embiid showed a ton of grit and played his best playoff series against a good team (33 ppg and all NBA defense) while hurt. 50 point doesnt mean he wasn't hurt (he could barely jump half the time). It means he's amazing.

Maxey arguably became a superstar as well.

Now they can add the pieces that work around them without relying on minimum signings and mid-late 30 year olds.

And they'll have continuity with a quality head coach for the first time in Embiid's entire career.

Everyone hates Embiid, so we'll have to keep hearing how horrible he is and how he'll never be Jokic (mostly in convos where Jokic is irrelevant), but the future is as bright as it could be.

I'm excited for the first time in years.

  2. Remember saying you were gonna win this series embiid? and reed saying the kicks were an easier team?? you got a NY beat down baby, welcome to NY

  3. Two great players, they will be back, Harris with a goose egg should hide his face and should retire before he wrecks someone else's franchise

  4. 🤣🤣😂😂😂 Haahh you philly fans are tight right now! what ya wanna do now philly fans? fire the coach or trade joel lol or dismantle the team and start over?? lol Worst fans in the NBA smh you guys always crap on good players when they do bad when they do good you guys flip flop lol Thats why all philly teams choke in the playoffs, Now sit back and watch the best teams play lol

  5. Tobias has to go.. I thought this was his year to show us that the 6ers made the right choice with Jimmy. They didn't!
This was tough, Joel with the MVP season to go down like he did and fight through all he's fighting though, I'm happy for his future.

  6. I think they should move this team out of this city it’s like the twilight zone zone organization just waste these guys talent

  7. We did not have enough back up players scoring. Tabias got to go. He did not score a point in 29 minutes Not even a free throw. Buy dude.

  8. Lebron and AD won a ring their first year together in LA. Lebron did something similar in Miami.

    Maybe Lebron just built different
