Spo End of Season Presser

Just because I didn’t see these getting posted to the sub and they’re at least actual Heat content and not hypotheticals, here’s some Brady Hawk tweets quoting Spo today.

[Erik Spoelstra on the regular season approach for this organization: “To say that we did not philosophically take the regular season seriously, that’s totally off base.” “Our goal is not to fight for the play-in every year. We know the deal here.”](https://x.com/bradyhawk305/status/1786438523488211335)

[Spo talks about the areas of growth for the offensive side of things: “We had basically 3 offensive philosophies this season.” “The consistency became a challenge to overcome. And the styles of play was different based on who was available. I don’t want to make excuses.”](https://x.com/bradyhawk305/status/1786438992679907368)

[Spo says the bright spots of this season were the young guys growth Mentions Jaime bursting onto the scene On Jovic: “If you would’ve said in the first round series last year that Niko would be our starting PF…you would’ve said ‘no, that’s not happening 9 months from now.’”](https://x.com/bradyhawk305/status/1786442943240229360)

  1. I know some other guys also are talking today, just saw one from Caleb. Not sure if Pat is doing one

  2. the “heat dont take the regular season seriously” was always a byproduct of our abnormal success was a lower seed in the playoffs. it doesnt help that jimmy has to load manage during the season and we tend to hold players out extra long after injuries.

We wanna win regular season games, we just prioritize the playoffs

Herro declined to speak after that disasterclass. Ducking smoke? Jimmy and Terry were injured, Herro not speaking is cowardly

We do take the season seriously , we were just bad , last year we could say it was injuries , this year was that + our personel was really bad around bam and jimmy .
