  1. As they should. Lue just needs a healthy team to cook.

I honestly don’t get it, what has he done well to warrant such high praise

  3. im_scytale

That’s great news, I want him to be the coach for years.

  4. Dr_Hilarious

The problem with this team definitely ain’t Ty Lue. Would be happy to have him as a coach longer

  5. First season being a clippers fan and it seems like things are quite positive, owner is willing to spend money to win, great coach, depth in the roster.

  6. effkaysup

Lakers fan here and I just don’t think Lue can say no to Ballmer. There are no caps on paying coaches. Ballmer can pay Lue whatever he wants. Lakers can’t compete

I know everyone thinks they’re too old. But keeping James PG Kawhi Russ Norm Zu and TMann are all major priorities. That’s a VERY solid core and with health comes legit title aspirations. And Ty Lue is the coach to get them there

Why is our front office so stupid! They have mortgaged the our future to put this dissapointing squad together. It is obvious we have to keep this squad as we have no assets and they are going to Re sign a coach that wether you think he’s good or not has not been able to get this team where they should be.

Kawhi is not going to stop getting hurt so having a coach that obviously can’t game plan around that is stupid.

He does a shit job at game management and for all the talk of being a players coach can not seem to get any consistent play out of the players.

Finally he refuses to even give younger players a few non garbage minutes all regular season so no one is ready to next man up when the inevitable injuries start piling up.

Fuck our front office and fuck Ty Lue!

  9. Part of me wanted to let go of TLue. But I don’t think there is available better coach out there.

Love Ty Lue as a coach. He hasn’t always been perfect but he’s still one of the better coaches in the league. I mean he was a huge upgrade from Doc Rivers ( who incidentally had the final say in including SGA in the PG trade, which was unforgivable).

  11. AlternativeSuit131

Keep him!! Great coaches are too hard to come by in this league. So I hope he stays! We have thrived when we should’ve sank at times due to him and getting our guys to buy in.

  12. This is indication of everyone coming back next season because Ty lue ain’t planning to sign a deal to coach bones and kai jones as first and second options like some people here want. Clippers had chance to bring someone like Ime udoka but they refused and right now there is no good coaches available

Great choice, I think getting a better coach than Lue as a replacement is highly unlikely

A far different scenario than the Lakers, for example.

  14. cool_hhwhip

never understood why people wanted him out so badly. like is there actually a better coach that’s gonna be available? i’ll take Lue over like 27 other coaches

  15. strignekcihc

Ty Lue is a good coach despite all the Morris and Tucker shit

  16. I like our chances Lue and Ballmer have a great relationship from the looks of it.

  17. OneBurnerStove

Nah clips ain’t it then man. Ty lue don’t know how to develop talent and its glaringly obvious

  18. People shit on Ty Lue, and I understand he had some really weird, 3-guard lineups last year during the John Wall experiment. But do people honestly think Ty Lue is this team’s problem? Like which coach could’ve done better with this roster when we’re missing 1 – or 2 – of our max players every April?

  19. WhyAmIAFanOfThisTeam

alright but somebody’s gotta go for how badly this roster was fumbled

  20. jgroove_LA

Either he WANTS to stay or he doesn’t. The question is whether Ballmer lets him out of his final deal if he doesn’t in order to appease Klutch.

  21. Jeez definitely not the news I wanted. Never been a more overrated coach. I really hope the Lakers give him an offer he can’t refuse

  22. Function_Fighter

Can’t complain. His star is always injured
