I turned 40 in April. I went to games that first expansion season as a kid. My mom for Christmas one year got me front row seats, I was 10 feet away from my favorite player….big ticket. Me and my best friend argued for years about how good Ricky Rubio was, or whether or not him and K.love can make the playoffs. Every year I come back… Through the questionable draft picks and the Joe smith thing. Losing Flip right when things are finally starting to turn around. Losing Malik too, can’t forget about that. Sam cassell’s untimely celebration, Brandon Roy’s nonstarter of a comeback, Troy Hudson being GREAT, but not being able to even suit up for more than 10 games a season, Kevin love’s knuckle pushups, Rubio that tragic lakers game, naz and Jaden last season even… there’s been so much. This season though. This one feels different doesn’t it? Not even on some homer stuff, like it has a magic to it. It’s joyful, it’s energizing… it’s inspiring. I’m so excited for game one, and whatever happens in this series, I’ll be there. Supporting my guys. Go wolves.
