[Cranjis McBasketball (@Tim_NBA) on X] “A big pro of bringing Redick on for Pelinka will be the built in blame deflection towards LeBron if it doesn’t work. “Self-preservation” is the theme you hear repeatedly by talking to folks in the org. That hire would fit that theme.”

What y’all think bout this? The way Pelinka keeps dodging the blame is kinda amazing tho lol.

How many GMs even get to hire 3 coaches? I feel like after two burnouts, they are usually replacing the front office as well

For fucks sake. Maybe let’s not plan for failure FO? Maybe let’s build the team to succeed instead of looking for Ls?

  3. Rob is a slimy agent that knows how to negotiate contracts but is clueless about building a good basketball team. Nepotist hire just like the rest of the FO.

Tim should stick to bball analysis and not speculative tabloid stories.

If JJ gets hired, I want the stans to stop talking that Lebron doesn’t have powers to the FO and have some accountability when it blows to team’s faces.

Honestly we should bring back Magic, guy went to DC and helped bring in a pretty good FO and coaching staff there and it’s not even his main sport. 2nd time around he might be better, its clear people don’t want to work woth Pelinka imo look at the trade offers and what is asked of us vs what players end up going for.

lol all these quotes and articles “the relationship between bron and fo/jeannie has never been better” seems like deflection games again. like whatever happens this off-season blame the players type thing. exit interviews on elimination night was another way of putting coach/players front and center. no sign of gm whose usually involved in exit interviews, no specific media focus

the front office is responsible for hiring a coach and identifying what the team’s basketball philosophy is. there needs to be a vision. this ain’t a players job. it’s crazy how they get to skate by by staying out of sight and feeding info to the media

Nah. Budenholzer/Atkinson/Lue as HC then let’s have JJ and Rondo in the assistant coaches’ roster.

Respectfully I need the hate on Rob’s name to stop. He has had two absolutely disastrous moves of this tenure that set this franchise back, one of which was pressured on him by the two stars. (Caruso and Westbrook) Otherwise he has constructed in my opinion the best team possible with the resources he had at his disposal.

He turned Westbrook into Vando, Beasley, Dlo. Legitimately absurd. He turned the broken body of Nunn into Rui.

The other moves he has made like trading away DG made sense because DG was getting older. In hindsight Schroeder was a good get for us he just wasn’t the dog DG was.

This year – it is in no way his fault that Ham decided to play Prince for 40 minutes a game. It is also not his fault that the medical team is physically incapable of checking Gabe Vincents knees properly??

Dude needed to bring us a big like Gafford and thats a fuck up but it takes two to tango.

Look around the league at other gm’s. Rob is the man.

Oh and to those clamoring for Bob Myers all he did was get cache on the back of Jerry West’s advice and maneuvering. Just FYI – thats who was in charge in Golden State putting that team together. Myers drafted Wiseman and traded his ass for pennies. Thats the gm ya’ll want.
