The internet got triggered by some of the fouls Jalen Brunson drew in their 1st round series clinching Game 6 against the Philadelphia 76ers. Coach Nick brought on Ronnie Nunn, a 19 year NBA referee and head of officials for 5 more, to help break down one of the plays to see whether the foul was legit.

  1. Players have been foul baiting long before jalen brunson came into the league. He's just really good at drawing contact to get to the line

  2. I dont mind the 'foul bating' on drives or actually offensive attacks… When it's done in the back court/mid court areas it's petty and kills the flow of the game.

I do think jumping straight up is misleading tho… Everyone jumps forward to shoot… Ever catch and shoot you land closer than your takeoff spot. Jumping straight up is a tactic to keep the defender on you back just like putting them in jail off the dribble. Defenders need to practice contesting shots from behind or the side to avoid fouling

  3. Brunson is just physical. It’s not his fault. Hopefully he stays healthy, I do get concerned all those hits will cost his health.

  4. That’s because he’s a lot stronger than he looks trust me as a Knicks fan he used to get fouled a lot and they didn’t call it so defense took advantage…so now he makes it obvious for them to call one by baiting remember last year Miami series the refs said he flopped then 2min report would say he was fouled multiple times so this season he adjusted

  5. Bronson simply stopped for the J and jumped upward with no backward, foul baiting movement. It's the same movement he makes on almost all his Js. The only difference were these two cases the defender lost control trying to chase him from behind expecting him to go a bit deeper in the paint, but because of his size, Bronson has to stop a bit before others.

Meanwhile Embiid was committing all types of egregious and potential injury causing fouls and hardly any 76ers fans said a thing.

  6. I didnt need to see this video to know that the whiny crybabies were being laughable. First off, philly fans got some nerve crying about opponents getting fouls and foulbaiting when they kings nd queens of fouls both played for them in embid and harden, not to mention how many times harden travled on his silly step back and nothing was called. 2nd, the fact ppl wanna have outrage over a guy stopping his dribble to get fouls is a joke. Get over it. Dont foul and no foul will be called

  7. Lmao 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 now do Embiid. The entire league does this…. W.t.f are you talking about. Click bait junk. Waste of time.

  8. I never thought I'd see the day that someone would have the narrative that they outflop Joel Embiid

  9. Embid also foul baits. Its a lot in his game. I mean in game 3 he had 19 ft made, and a lot of those were foul baiting. He just does it differently. Yeah JB does it in a unique way, thats possibly revolutionary. still, he isnt the only one foul baiting in the nba.
