Anybody else feel like Raptors took a lesser deal for Siakam bc they got good value for OG
I love OG but feels like Siakam is the better piece but feels like Knicks haul was better than Indy’s
Maybe there was a bidding war for OG or Raptors were okay taking less since they had IQ and RJ. But Brown could opt out and leave right away but they can retain IQ and have RJ long terms. And with IQ, RJ, Barnes feels like the 2/3 is kinda full for Raptors for Brown

Raptors got a better deal for OG simply because OG’s agent has connections to the Knicks and they were able to agree on a wink wink extension.
Siakam however was not committal to any extension with any team he was going to be traded to, which is his right as a free agent. Teams obviously weren’t going to play much for a guy who could leave after a few months.
It’s really that simple.

I don’t see an obvious salary option now that Fournier (don’t Google) is off the roster
The Knicks do have 2 picks in this draft so…maybe a trade down option is there?
