[Amer] Paolo Banchero: “We’re not here without Franz. He holds himself to a high standard & he expects a lot out of himself as a player. I’ve been in that position as well where you felt like you could’ve done a lot more in a losing effort but this doesn’t define him”

  1. True. Franz fracturing Allen’s ribs played a key part in them being here. Without him they lose in G6

“Bro was ass but he usually not this ass. We’ll be Aii”

Unfortunately I fear it was most viewers’ first time watching a Magic game so it may in fact define him

  4. grudgepacker

Honestly, that’s a super classy response from Paolo and the kind of statement a real leader makes

  5. Not-Josh-Hart

Nah, they need to blow it up and start with 20 year olds

  6. Kevin Love trying to be the second best player in 2018

  7. This is good to see. I really wanted Orlando to win and I’m looking forward to watching them next year.

  8. Between him and Ant being super mature leaders, the league is in good hands

Paolo is awesome. Great leader for the magic going forward.

Classy response from Banchero. Franz worked his ass off this series. You can say he had a bad game or two, but dude has heart. Whole team does. They’ll be back.

  11. Perfect quote. Nice thing to read after going through some brutal political subreddits.

  12. Magic got their guy – great mature leader response

Are any of the young rising stars going to be hateable? Honestly they all seem so chill and easy to root for

I hope Franz isn’t getting any hate. He had a bad game and that happens to everyone, including superstars. Franz was a fucking problem all series for Cleveland, though, and he is a huge reason the series went to 7 games. Dude should not hang his head on that one performance at all.

Honestly, it was terrible coaching from Orlando. No adjustments in a very winnable game 7.

Exactly what you want to hear from your teammate. Honestly it feels like this kind leadership around the league is nonexistent. Media is so fast to fade every good player that has a shit performance.

genuinely always taken aback at how much perspective, grace, and humility/understanding/empathy like 19-22 year olds have for each other in such high stakes situation. it’s truly remarkable.

If it was this Franz with the pistol WW1 might’ve been avoided

paolo/franz/suggs is going to shake up thr east the next 3-5 years
