Agree with Tim that Adelman or Nori are the best options. JJ seems smart but I don’t want to take a gamble on a rookie coach, would rather have him go to a rebuilding team like the Hornets to get some experience. Being an assistant could maybe work though

We need a coach that the players will respect and listen to. Especially Bron and AD.

I wouldn’t mind JJ as the head coach with a couple of over qualified assistants. But also would love him and rondo as assistants to like Atkinson or Stotts, or even Adelman/Chris Quinn

Forgot fish was a coach lol probably for good reason too

Put Kurt Rambis on here. Was a first time head coach for the Lakers and did poorly… with Shaq and Kobe in 1999.

Ham may have positives but it was stupid to hire a new coach if the intention was to contend with LeBron (truly believe the front office was ready to tank).

Phil Jackson had 6 rings when the Lakers hired him. Lakers can’t be cheap if they want to contend now.

All I know is that we need to cast a wide net and not just look at ex Lakers or former Lakers coaches. JJ Reddick is a smart dude but he needs to get some form of coaching experience.

What this chart tells me is we need to hire Steve Kerr! He seems to have a lot of success. Shouldn’t be too hard!

So only 2 were really good and another 2 were good. 25% success rate. 12.5% if we want really good

Idk, I’d rather have a known experienced coach that we can realistically set expectations for and not use the “he’s learning” excuse. We’re trying to win now
