The Pelicans are not expected to offer Brandon Ingram a contract extension this offseason.

Get in as a third team to help facilitate a deal to get more draft assets and capital. Act like a team under the cap and build around Embiid and Maxey.
would be cool but i dont think theyd take tobi, paul reed, and a first
He’s better than Tobias, but I want nothing to do with him.
Would rather try to go for the top free agents than him tbh.
I get why everyone is hesitant with Ingram but i think he would fit perfectly in this offense. It’s a high risk high reward signing but at this point any free agent we sign is high risk high reward. PG and Jimmy are both declining assets meanwhile Ingram is only 26!!!! I can’t be the only one who doesn’t hate the idea of giving this kid a shot
Never really liked him. Just watched 10 mins of his highlights and I still don’t like him. But if we had him instead of Tobias we’d be in the 2nd round
At the right money…..
Ingram is not that guy, so not surprised. I wouldn’t bother with him either if I’m Morey unless he comes at a pretty big discount.
He’s better than Tobias, but that’s a low bar.
Honestly, I’d fuck with him for the right price. At least he’s young, he’s 26 now. Will be 27 at the start of the season next year.
He’s the only player I’m hearing rumored about coming to Philly that’s under 35. Here’s everyone’s age next season:
Lebron James – 40 in Dec
Kevin Durant – 36 in Sep
Jimmy Butler – 35 in Sep
Paul George – 35 in May (birthday was 3 days ago, happy birthday PG)
I don’t want more old players. I don’t want more injury risks tied to big ass fucking contracts.
If we are gonna sign old players I want Batum type guys. Shit even Lowry. Smart vets coming off the bench getting 15 minutes a night – not 9 figure contract going to old stars that are being held together with duct tape and children’s prayers.
My only hope in all this is that Morey won’t waste the money because he’s smart enough to see it for what it is.
I mean he didn’t give a max extension to Harden and that dude was like a brother to him. So I respect that he’s all about the business and won’t give out max contracts to old stars willy fucking nilly.
He got his flaws but philly should definitely go after him. He can be another shot creator & hes young & he’d prolly play better under nurse
I’m not necessarily advocating for him, but I do think he’d be an intriguing fit. If nurse can turn oubre into a solid team man and decent to good defender, you wonder what he could do with BI’s tools. I also think he’s a much, much better dribbler than Toby, which does matter. Tobi’s issue was that he was a reluctant shooter and he couldn’t really put the ball on the floor. Meaning all you have to do is play off him and he won’t shoot or drive by you. Haven’t seen enough of BI to know if he’s any better, but my impression is he would do a better job at punishing the mismatches caused by Jo and Max than Tobi could. Not a high bar to clear, but still. Interesting prospect nonetheless
We need rebounders, would much rather throw money at Lauri
Is he better than Tobias? I really don’t think so.
When Pels fans say he would be a bad fit and he is incapable of playing off ball, believe them
Wouldnt Oubre be 80% of his output at 40% of his price?
