DiVincenzo gets called for an illegal screen but it’s magically the consensus correct call because it didn’t happen late in the 4th Quarter… I guess?

I love the receipts. Keep em coming. Knicks in 4

Ref blaming is what bad teams do. Be better and you won’t have to rely on what gets called and what doesn’t.

  3. Don’t even get me started on “maRGinaL C0nTAct”

Exactly bro they don’t like to bring up the outbound call that thibs had to use a timeout for, let them lose their composure, means we’re winning

In the moment the end of game call felt like a make up call for this call

  6. That one is more obvious because he leaned his shoulder in to it. I don’t have any problem with that call tbh. The Turner call is also *correct* it’s just a weird spot to call that kind of foul. Divo sold the shit out of it so kudos to him for playing the game.

Also, people haven’t noticed this yet, but a couple minutes earlier in the 4th quarter, the exact same play happened and it was called a DEFENSIVE FOUL on Divo. Divo made a point to bark at the official (very demonstrative) about it, so it is 100% likely that call was in the official’s mind when this play at the end occurred.

edit: the timestamp of the play I’m referencing occurred at 2:30s remaining in the 4th:

The reason it was such a wild call **is** because it was in the 4th…like they usually don’t call these that late in the game.

Why can’t 2 things be true? Was this the same exact (correct) call that was called on the Pacers? Yes

Was it a weak call? Sure

Regardless wasn’t the reason we won, and won’t be the reason we win the series.

Post this on nba, we’re the hated team now lol

  9. I was referencing this play in real time after watching Turners moving screen get called. It’s like all of the NBA world overlooked the bullshit fouls on the Knicks and collectively turned the game on with 30 seconds to go in the 4th lmao. People are fucking stupid! 🤣

  10. most pacers fans i saw took the L on the chin and didnt really make excuses. idk why this sub is so defensive. we had calls go our way at the end, it’ll reverse at some point in the series. thats just how it goes

And media eating it up, embarrassing what ESPN is doing, you know the Knicks are back when you get that NY hate.

Is the new Thib strategy similar to the previous sixers game.

The pulling jersey by sixers on Brunson and Mcbride were not called, so Brunson did it and dare the ref to call it.

    And this is the same.

Donte be like, “You wanna call foul on my screen? Aight, bet. You better call the same foul on that screen and I’m gonna make it extra for you by selling it, just to make sure your blind ass sees it.”

  13. That was an illegal screen. So was Turner’s. The problem is they haven’t called this particular infraction fairly in years, you got Bam Adebayo doing full lateral movements during screens and never getting called for it. Refs are bugging

I don’t like how this sub is trying to excuse a bad call lmao. End of the game was a bad call. Nobody likes calls to decide a game. It’s literally what happened to us in that Sixers series and now y’all trying to justify this with whataboutisms? Corny.

  15. DudeLikeYeah

Let’s not pretend we don’t do the same thing when calls don’t go our way. Just move on.

  16. TerminaterToo

Bigger point. Why cant we watch the entire game from this angle? Same with football

  17. No-Abbreviations4480

some questionable calls went our way, but that happens all the time. We’ve certainly been on the opposite end of this. this is a big difference vs DIRTY play that is intentionally done to injure opposing players like embiid.

You gotta love all the whiny little bitches from across the land crying about the obvious illegal screen RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF 😆 The screen that Turner set is probably shown in ref film school as the quintessential way to set an illegal screen and the official standing right in front of it happening was not supposed to call it lol? I do not disagree that call is a shitty way to decide a game, but the refs hands are tied when he has a front row seat to it happening.

  19. echelonNYK

Brunson dropping 40 on the Pacers is being lost in all of this. And, oh yeah, Hali only had 6 points.

Man I was trying to find this. Everyone bitching, and I get it, but this was the same thing, even less.

However, I get it was at the certain point of the game that people are mad too

  21. OstrichDelicious587

That’s why thibs said we care about the 48 minute report not the 2 minute report. Donte sold that screen at the end bc he knew it got called against him earlier. Refs called it both ways.

  22. khankhankingking

I think Shannon Sharpe had a great point today. Calls are calls. We can litigate them to the end of time, there are good calls and bad calls, they both benefit and hinder each. But in the end the Knicks made the most of them and didn’t let the bad calls ruin our focus.

LOUDER FOR THE PEANUT GALLERY IN THE BACK!!!!!!

i hope/think both fanbases would agree on two things:

    1. the refs have been dogshit this year across the board, and bad calls/inconsistent calls lead to accusations of bias/fixing

    2. there should be a revamping of what is challengeable. if there is a stoppage right after an event (or non-event), whatever happened right before the stoppage should be challengeable.
