REPORT: Brandon Ingram and coach Willie Green had a “locker room exchange” during Game 2 of their series… Ingram wanted help from his coach to get him the ball more, per @ShamsCharania.

Smh…. The leaks rn are really not helping the Pels lol

  2. My 2 cents:

BI you have a history of playing like dogshit after you return from injury. While it’s understandable, in a do or die stretch it’s a death sentence to shovel you the ball when you’re playing terrible with your example being in the lakers play in game 11 points on 33% that game being no exception (and when Zion is lighting the world on fire with 40)

HOWEVER ‼️‼️, Willie also has a history of seeing hot hands and purposefully cooling them off and seeing his stars sit in corners while offensive option number 3 and 4 bullshit with the ball for half a quarter. Willie MAY have been right to deny BI in stretches for that game (see: he was playing like shit) but consistently not running plays or actions for your star players over the season would absolutely justify BI having an outburst in an elimination setting where the stars NEED the ball

Both have understandable reasons but only one isn’t in a bed of his own making (BI can’t out skill/ force himself to shake off injury rust but Willie damn sure could have helped his stars better than he has)

You know the breakup is imminent when leaks start happening lol

  4. As if he was doing anything with the ball anyway…

I feel something was lost in translation being that the ball was in BI’s hands plenty. I’m reading this as BI wanted help and adjustments to get him easier looks, not that he was demanding the ball more.

Whether or not BI is back next year doesn’t change the fact that Willie has no offensive playbook. Yes the ball needs to be in Zion’s hands but we can’t be expecting him to drive hard to the hoop every possession for him or his teammates to get a good look at a basket.
