This isn’t Luka’s year. Luka’s biggest strength is shooting threes and he shot 14% for the last half of the last series. And 23% overall. That is absolutely horrible! He’s very good at many things but he’s gonna have to improve quickly to have any shot.
Can the Knicks win it all? Nah, the Twolves are just insane right now. But can the Knicks upset the Celtics? Yeah, I legitimately think they could. The Knicks might be able to put up a better fight against the Twolves if they had Randle healthy, but they don't. The Knicks are crazy good because of the Nova 3, but they lack punch beyond those guys really. Their bench scoring is atrocious. I still feel like they're either 1 nice starter away from being a true title contender OR they need that 6th man of the year candidate type player to provide pop off their bench.
I love that the Knicks are in the conversation and I love the style of basketball they're playing, they're probably my favorite team to watch right now. I feel they're definitely overachieving with what they have talent wise on that roster. That's why I say I think they're 1 piece away, and I think their front office knows that too and are gonna make a big move in the offseason regardless if they get to the conf finals or not.
Paul Pierce was the best player of that 2008 Celtics, Nick.
I think we overvalued Denver. They played out of their minds last year. And I think LeBron’s consecutive appearances to the finals has diluted the reality of how hard it actually is to repeat finals appearances, let alone win back to back.
Brunson is overrated, and Tatum is underrated. JB can't average 40 against Boston, and his defense is a weakness to target. Facts of later rounds.

Don’t assume Boston better than Denver particularly w KP down
Man the Knicks are great, but they are going to run into the glaring problem they have against Boston….they are missing just 1 more elite playmaker and scorer. Thats it. They have everything else (great coach and system, star player who cant be stopped, excellent defenders and role players who hustle and grind, top market in the league). I wonder who could fill that role for them so next season they could dominate?? Yes, this team is perfect for LeBron to go to and end his career. He is EXACTLY what they are missing. The great defensive teams will be able to focus on Brunson too much and nobody else on that team can really make them pay. LeBron would be perfect, he can be a FA and go there and they would not have to trade anyone, he respects Thibs a ton and the team is already built, not a work in progress like all the other teams he joined. I think this is the 1 team LeBron would go to and just plug in and not try to be the whole system like he always had to be. If he went there and won a ring or 2 to close his career he would greatly boost his GOAT argument bringing that franchise a title would be HUGE. Lakers are going nowhere, Knicks are that 1 piece away that he fits so perfectly. I hope it happens, would be fun to watch!

My beloved NY Knicks are at this point of legitmately and we've all watched them OVER ACHEIVE up to this point. I've been around since the Willis Reed and Clyde Frazier era and never has there been a more SCAPPIER TEAM to come into any play offs THIS SMALL yet this team has reignited a city thirst to be relevant once again. I don't think they will win it all this year. They are banged up and missing key contributors from this years starting 5…However, they have done we all thought would never come our way again….a team this represents this city's pursuit and passion for GREAT THINGS, AMAZING PEOPLE, A DEMAND FOR CHAMPIONSHIP LEVEL EFFORT IN EVERYTHING WE DO. Don't have to win it all to win this city back and they done that in a year no one was looking at a depleted team like this…scrambling after loose balls, a ball hawking D and with some of the role players making a name for themselves with these opportunities given….they shouldn't look to let any of this team to be broken up…traded or waived. These cats earned that. PROUD OF MY KNICKERBOCKERS
