Let’s put this in perspective.
Shannon is a football player. He barely played basketball for a D2 school. On top of that, he barely even graduated high school and chose an easy degree in CJ. Likely, he earned neither of those credentials and was pushed through.
He joined First Take but was only given guest appearances during the NFL season. They extended his contract through to next NFL season and later added him through the NBA for this season only. He is trying to get a longer term all sports contract.
He has also hitched his career to Skip Bayless. Neither of them are working on good takes. They work on whatever will rile people up.
Shannon Sharpe is not an analyst but someone there to stir the pot, get clicks, viewers, and engagement.
Looks like it worked. Good for him. Bad for the fans gullibility.

I think people would rather see Luka vs Ant as they are two proud, bold, and brash players. I firmly believe that casual fans **hate** quiet players – Duncan and Kawhi being two prime examples. You may respect them but you also kinda loathe that they’re not splashy.
There’s a world where the Thunder and Celtics will face off in the finals and you’ll have ABC having to go “….look at this well spoken man in Tatum, and this quiet leader in SGA….” and vomit that they didn’t get say Luka vs THE KNICKS and all the storylines they could create

Winning the championship in our first return to the playoffs would be excellent, but I’m not going to cry if we don’t. I’m just happy for the success we’ve made.
I said I just wanted to win 1 series for it to be a success, and we did. It’s house money from here for me.
However, once I heard Shannon Sharpe disparage and asperse us like that, I want to win to prove him fully wrong.
