  1. It's not "bad luck" to fall to 5. There's literally a 47% chance of this happening with the worst record. This year the #1 pick has less value due to the fact the salary is approximately $12M/year which may be considered an overpay given the level of talent you're getting immediately. Of course you mostly draft for potential at that point, but if the difference in talent between #1 and #5 isn't very big and you're paying them twice as much, your team will be worse off for it as you can't spend on complimentary players.

  2. Stop looking for home runs that leave fans disappointed. Brandon Ingram would only be a 1-year rental. He would likely not resign after becoming an Unrestricted Free Agent next summer. It makes no sense to give up a bunch of assets for a one-year rental. A successful rebuild is about SMART moves not exciting moves.

    Here’s the PLAN:

Re-sign Simone Fontecchio, Quentin Grimes, James Wiseman, Taj Gibson. Fontecchio is the only one that should be on a 4-year deal, the others should be on two year deals that allow them to be packaged in a trade if necessary or provides cap flexibility to re-sign Ivey and Duren.
Trade for Duncan Robinson. The Miami Heat need the cap flexibility and Robinson and Herro are redundant for them. He offers great shooting, playmaking, and is a culture builder coming from Miami.
Draft either Alexander Sarr, Marta’s Buzelis, or Ron Holland. Each are NBA ready to provide versatility, defense, athleticism, and project well as shooters down the road. Holland is my favorite of the 3, great motor, plays defense, great athlete, great positional size, and is a shot creator who can take pressure off of Cade and Ivey.

The goal for next season is chemistry, internal development, and consistency. Healthy, they should be at 32-35 wins next year, this team is EXTREMELY talented and that cannot be understated. If the pieces can come together from what we seen this year alone then the Pistons have something SPECIAL for sure!

  3. Cade and Asuar are the only 2 good picks, that Troy Weaver has done…he's 🗑 🚮 🗑 🚮 🗑 🚮 🗑 🚮 🗑 🚮 🗑 🚮 🗑 🚮 🗑
