I would love(no diddy)to have Dwight back if the guys are cool with it, goga is most likely chasing the bag this summer so we going to need a third string center.

I’d be on board with a one-day contract and having him retire with the team.
In general, though, I’m at peace with the situation. I enjoyed seeing him at our home game in the playoffs and think that him being a franchise legend who sticks around the team is a good thing. I don’t see the need for anything more at this stage and would have no interest in signing him to a contract.

Man there are so many other former magic players I’d want honored or respected other than Dwight

Sim Bhullar outplayed Dwight, but maybe that was because his asscrack was out the whole game, but then again that would entice dwight to play him tighter

Our past players all seem to love it here

Hype?
Either the people who like this are too young to remember what happened or suffering from the golden age fallacy.
Dwight got our GM and the best defensive coach fired and ended up leaving anyways. He stranded kids who signed up for his summer clinic in Orlando because he wanted to go play around in LA. A Kid that I personally know was destroyed. He was his hero. I’ll never forget it.
He didn’t just leave like shaq. He made it about him, he childishly caused the whole fiasco and then dipped. He STILL hasn’t matured.
Him leaving wouldn’t have been an assurance of a decline of this team if the damage he created didn’t happen. We still had shooting. We still had a dedicated coaching staff.
He. Fucking. Destroyed. Us. And he STILL has not shown one tiny bit of remorse. He’s never apologized. He’s counting on the exact sentiment this OP is issuing to save him. And he’s had several concerning sexual allegations to boot.
Shaq would have been welcomed here to end his career over Miami or boston.
NOT THIS MANBABY. Letting him into our building in a win or go home situation was pathetic.
Fuck Dwight. Fuck him forever. I’m not wearing rose-colored glasses with this traitor. Ever.
