A “veteran assistant coach” I’m assuming NOT a Mavs coach, can “sense” our players feelings…. Sounds like a load of 💩but I love it. Keep feeding Luka motivation, his shot will start falling he’s getting the looks he wants. Just want him to stay aggressive and shit talking him will take care of that!

  2. DarwinCreatesSpace

Lmao… If there are Mavs players who are relieved when Luka checks out, they should be traded immediately. Michael Jordan was an asshole. Tom Brady, an asshole. Hell, LeBron has been yelling at his teammates since Luka was in diapers.

  3. JohnMatrixFOTY

I’m sure players all extra extra relieved when they go to a different team and put up 1/2 the stats they were with Luka

  4. xPeaWhyTee

Guarantee you this never comes out if we had won G1. This rumor is just an attempt to capitalize on the anti-Luka hate train right now.

  5. anon641414

Didn’t realize Grant Williams was still feeding rumors to Tim MacMahon

  6. donihicks

I would maybe believe it if they weren’t so 🗑️when he’s off the court.

  7. Media trying to make Luka the bad guy. I remember a few seasons ago when they were talking about who you would rather start a franchise with, Luka or Trae. Kendrick Perkins picked Young cause, “the players love playing with him.”

    “It’s the heliocentrism 🤓”

Yeah I’m sure it’s that, and not the 38% 3P shooter shooting 16%.

  9. Swoosh_rotaerc

This wasn’t even a rumor. It was an opinion of an unnamed veteran assistant coach.

  10. Dapper_Connection526

Was the assistant coach Rick Brunson? 💀

  11. Dumbass rumors, This team is locked together. Luka is playing through a pretty serious injury

  12. retrospects

Fuck it. Slander our king, Luka seems to play better with a chip on his shoulder anyway it seems.

  13. jfrodriguez1983

Man, I wish Luka was 100% cause he would just dog walk every defender in this series, and we wouldn’t get all this idiotic negative discourse.

  14. FoeHammerYT

I know if I was on the team I would immediately come to the defense of one of my guys if someone was saying something like this. You can’t let the media speculate on how you are feeling like this without calling it out.. I would be greatly disturbed if multiple other players don’t speak out about this, that would be a HORRIBLE look for Luka and the team as a whole.

  15. floppy_foul_merchant

Yet Brunson, Ant Edwards, SGA, Ja Morant, Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray or any other guard can jack up shot after shot after shot and it’s crickets. Weird. Hell, Brunson’s heliocentricism dwarfs Luka’s and he’s nowhere near the playmaker Luka is. Tired of the Luka slander already.

  16. ExcellentJuice4729

It’d be realistic if the source said our coaches and players shit the bed when he sits given how garbage we usually are without him

  17. Well he hasn’t been checking out much this playoffs, not exactly Josh Hart numbers but he’s averaging 42.3 minutes/game in the playoffs. Maybe they do need to get him some more rest.

  18. Vinylforvampires

Probably cause everyone else is playing to the spread, but Luka is actually trying to win. When he checks out, they know they’re getting their payday.

  19. “It’s a sense of, ‘Hey, now we get to play‘”

    So it’s just speculation

  20. RatchetKush

Lmao just fake news to justify not giving Luka the mvp. Who tf cares

  21. WaterIsNotWet19

True or not I’d like for him to improve his body language. Feels like whenever he makes a mistake, it’s someone else’s fault

  22. user5542858

They were talking about this in The Ringer, a publication which regularly shits on the Mavs for no reason. They had to find something to shit on them for.

  23. I better hope not lol DJJ and THJ can’t even bring the ball up the court without turning it over every other play.
