Took a historic shooting game from PJ going 7-11 from 3 as a barely 30% 3 pt shooter this season to beat us till the end. And Hardaway having 17 pts in 18 mins off the bench who’s been a known negative player for Mavs.
Hard to win games when the other team makes 18 3’s on a 49% clip, but the team fought till the end even despite the scorching/unsustainable shooting Mavs had.
Game plan was to leave him and other role players open and PJ especially made us pay. It happens, we move.

Exactly. Mavs others just hit open shots. Even with that, this game was still competitive and never really became a blowout

Who’s freaking out? Everything went the Mavs way last night while everything went wrong for the Thunder and it was still close. We gonna be alright.
I was in my feelings last night, but after reflecting a bit, this was just a loss to a great team that played great. OKC didn’t bring their A game. This is gonna be a good series. Neither team is clearly superior to the other like we saw vs NO.
We shot uncharacteristically poor and they shot uncharacteristically well. In game 1 we focused on Luka and dared them to make these shots. They didn’t. Game 2, they made them. I think if they make those shots and we shoot normally we still win. Games like this happen. I’m not panicked at all, and I think Game 3 they’re gonna go back to their normal shooting percentages and well end up winning this thing in 6.
They were taking away all our 3 pt airspace while we left most shooters wide open. They took advantage of Mark’s strategy. Gotta tighten that up or they could easily do it again
