Tatum seemed to play very casually with strus on him. Hes a decent defender but attacking him with purpose could go a long way

I’m sure JT will be more aggressive in G3. He wants to get everyone involved & that’s commendable.

JT used to get criticized for taking too many shots. When star players let others folks cook & then the shots stop falling 1 game, the star player gets criticized for being too passive.

I trust JT & I think he is a great teammate.

Tatum is such a passive little bitch. If he had even a little bit of Ants dawg, he would be the best player in the league.

Not surprised, dude was getting locked up by Wesley Matthews

  5. like how can u not score on that fat fuck? Get by him u bum 😂

Strus is good at getting in his space without fouling. Hard for Tatum to get anything going on the perimeter against him and he gets doubled on the drive from the post… Tatum needs to rise above this and find some comfort in his shot and drives.

and yet you get dudes on this sub making cope posts like [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/bostonceltics/s/L2vDaicU16) to convince themselves that Tatum is getting triple teamed or some shit which is why he can’t shoot a lick.

There was one point last night in the 4th where it was still a 10-12 point game and we got a stop, Tatum and DWhite came back in, Tatum gets the ball in the high elbow post backing down Strus, what does the 6’8 superstar do ? Brick a turnaround fadeaway for no reason. Cavs go the other end and Strus hits a 3.

This dude has flat out been carried across the line in most of these Playoff games and had the majority of the fanbase still talking him up yet he had the nerve to complain about regular season awards in his presser after that performance. Unserious guys man.

  8. Strus throws his body and has both hands all over Tatum everytime he guards him. There was a possession where yesterday where Strus was in Tatum’s space and when Tatum would move around while set he could have literally crawled under Strus because he was that attached to him. It reminds me of Dellavedova on Curry, being praised for good defense when in reality dude should foul out by halftime.

Whether we wan’t to admit it or not, Tatum is streaky. One day he’ll be cooking Giannis, Embiid or KD, and some other days it’ll look like Max Strus is prime Gary Payton on defense. He’s in a slump, no denying that, but shots have to start falling. Could be as easy as just waiting for them to fall or might have to have a more hands on approach and run more action for him. Either way, in order to win the Chip, teams are usually lead offensively by their best player. He doesn’t have to score 35 every night but if he’s giving you 22/11/5 at least do it on somewhat decent efficiency.

Yes, it’s a team sport, but in my honest/humble, not basketball genius opinion, I think coach has to start running more sets for him. Part of a coach’s role is putting his team in the best positions for them to score and Tatum is struggling atm. Getting him easy buckets will yield dividends down the line. Buckets will start to pile up and rhythm will come. Tatum is great, but even the greats were often facilitated baskets by coaches who ran many sets for them. (Not hating on Mazzulla btw)

There must be 2 max strus. Tatum is shooting badly because of double team right?? /s

There is that NBA commercial: Playoff Tatum is not a thing…. Maybe it is?

  12. Strus clamps him but he refuses to pass the ball when he gets that “mismatch” it’s like an ego thing

Not for nothing against struss but this is a Tatum issue it has nothing to do with Struss. He’s been off since the Miami series

Guys he’s fine they are throwing junk defenses at him. He had a handful of great screens and numerous hockey assists.

He should never speak about Kobe again. He’s Paul George
