Lakers Cap Conundrum, Letting DLo Go, Max Christie’s Future And More

Let’s kick off the weekend with some Lakers basketball talk….

  1. Absolutely not.

Super frustrated that the Lakers aren't developing players.

It's easy to dlo, austin, and Rui defense. It's easy to teach Jax a right and left hand jump hook as well as pivoting.

Jax can easily become Giannis with work and training. The organization is failing. All easy fixes and it starts now.

  2. I just want the new coach to give Max Christie a chance. He could be a good 3 and D for us in the future if developed right.

  3. How do we know DLo and Reaves isn't a good combination? Based on so many of you Ham was a terrible coach. If that was the case maybe he just couldn't coach these players in a scheme that works for this team.

  4. Regardless of who's fault everyone wants to claim it is. This team needs to be restructured or they aren't going anywhere.

  5. Scorpio had a good question: "Did it (AR/DLo)not work because there was no Vando?" but Id go further.
THIS season, Lakers were closer, only 4 or so points away from being UP 3 games to 2: 1) Without Vando. 2) W/O playing Max in the playoffs . 3) W/O Ham building Max up with proper playing time throughout the season 4) Wasting away minutes to Dinwiddie/Vincent that could have gone to AR or Max or both, when Dinwiddie/Vincent were giving NOTHING not only for the game but for the whole series. JUST ONE of those things changes, and its a whole different series.

  6. I can't believe how clueless some of these comments are. The Lakers barely lost to the Nuggets. In all accounts this team played great. They lost, but it seemed they lost more due to late game strategy and coaching. DLo, Reaves, and the rest of the team held their own. A better coach may have been able to get over the hump.

  7. Whatever Sean says with the coaches do the opposite.. if I remember correctly 2 years ago he was the biggest darvin hamm fanboy in the world.

  8. This and next season is a pivotal season for Taytum. If the C’s win the chip, then his probability of staying Boston increases. What are the Lakers doing to open up cap space for 2026?

  9. When you have 2 players taking up 100 mil of your cap space, it will make it extremely hard to build a good roster around that

  10. my issue that Iv been hammering all season is who out of the 32 1-2 guards in the west is AR better than. AR is more in the 32-64 range and there’s nothing wrong with that. But this show acts like the Lakers would be insane to trade him. I don’t get that.

  11. I feel as tho they’ve been hiding christie. Lakers front office has driving down his market value in order to retain him at a lower price
