Bam Adebayo is eligible for a supermax extension of 4-year, $245M if he makes an All-NBA team. (It’s a 3-year, $165M if he doesn’t make any All-NBA team).

    Don’t think we have to worry tbh, don’t see him making all nba

    Since this year’s all-nba is not positions based. Here are the players that will likely compete with Bam for a spot:

    * Kawhi Leonard
    * Luka Doncic
    * Giannis
    * Jokic
    * Lebron
    * Shai
    * Haliburton
    * AD
    * Brunson
    * Tatum
    * ANT
    * KD
    * Devin Booker
    * Jaylen Brown
    * Curry
    * Fox

    Seems like a complete toss up whether Bam makes it or not but i’m leaning towards him making it.

    EDIT: Listed KD twice.

    So 3yr 165 is likely. At least we avoid giving out a Jaylen Brown contract

    if i stop thinking about players as pieces and ignore the salary cap and the implications a supermax would have for our roster, this sucks

    imagine being Bam and your two options are 4/$245m ($61m AAV or 3/$165m ($55m AAV) and the difference between that $6,000,000 a year hinges on a bunch of fuckin’ journalists being able to recognize your impact on the game lol

    the NBA is such a mess

    Love Bam, but he’s not supermax worthy.

    Yeah not happening nor does he deserve super max money. We’d just have to pay it because we can’t let him walk and 3 for 165 is plenty good for Bam.
