Lunching is an old slang 😂😂 when i was in college (2000s) that used to be a saying
They gifted Rudy that award! They basically discriminated against Victor cause he's a rookie. It's like the league is saying… look here, you haven't been in the league long enough, and you don't qualify no matter what you do. The league just needs to say that rookies are excluded from all awards in their rookie year. But Chet was getting paid in the league while he was injured his first year and was in consideration for the ROTY in his 2nd year. If you get injured… of well, that year is lost.

One thing you'll realize the more you watch sports is that these individual awards become more of a comedy showcase due to tainted voting I mean everybody who knows ball knows wemby should've been named the dpoty just like sga should've won the mvp

The wolves have about 8 great to good defensive players outside of gobert the spurs next best defender is sochan and nobody on the team comes to him after that but casuals don't look at that tho

@clan re: talent acquisition. David Robinson and Tim Duncan are top 30 players all time. Probably also Kawhi. Spurs have been very skilled and lucky! Wemby really could be the goat if he doesn’t get hurt! Lakers, Celtics, the 76ers and the perhaps the Bucks are the only teams with more all time greats. The Spurs are just better at recognizing talent, developing it, and getting lucky in the draft. Re: DPOY , I thought Gobert taught Wemby no? Regardless…. The wolves have a defensive juggernaut, perhaps top 5 all time. Is there an argument to say Gobert instilled a defensive culture in MN and made others great around him?

I am worn out from saying it, but my goodness, it wasn’t close. We all know it. We all see it. The stats match what we see with our eyes. Anybody would be a better defender if the rest of your team are good defenders. You have help defenders who do what they’re supposed to do; Wemby didn’t have that. It’s nuts.
I get tired of hearing blocks arent the only measuring stick. Or oh his team didnt win enough games.
