The Falcons have a terrible problem. Two really, really good quarterbacks. Both are very high character guys and natural leaders. Penix already said he is willing to learn. Two top tier quarterbacks is a problem every team would like to have. They are set for the season. They are set for the future. Probably at least 16 years of playoff success. If you don't like that, it seems a bit strange. Suppose that Cousins had signed for $5 million, would they {the nay-sayers} be crying now? Well, that 50 million cash per year is not coming out of their pocket. What about the cap? There is a huge cap cost of 50 million this year, but next year even though there is another 50 million due, it does not count against the cap. Every team in the NFL would like to have the Falcon's 'problem'. Unless Cousins is not healthy, I guess Penix will sit one, two or three years. By that time he will know the playbook cold. He will have a firm grasp of NFL defenses. He will have a ton of weight room strengthening under his belt. What's not to love?
