To all the Jeanie and Rob “believers”/fans – Windhorst basically calls Jeanie cheap and stresses that Rob has too much say which doesn’t empower and at times hampers the coach with bad roster construction.
REAL fans who are able to recognize and stomach this – good for you. I shouldn’t have to compliment anyone for having common sense, but the bar of being a fan of this team (at least on Reddit) is so low that just bringing realism to the table deserves a “way to go.”
As for everyone else – here’s where you probably attack Windhorst’s weight, say he’s a “LeBrOn GuY”, and discredit someone who is one of the more prominent NBA analysts whether you like him or not. I don’t really have a personal opinion of the guy. He knows his NBA though.
I wish we didn’t have to move forward with Nepo Blondie and Kobe’s Agent. I want an owner who will spend. I don’t think a “GM” should be able to hire his THIRD coach and fourth that he oversaw.
Most GM’s in all major sports are given the chance to hire two coaches then they usually get fired with the second coach. Not in the land of nepotism and cronyism though…
One more thing since I mentioned LeBron – This sub is getting completely mental about whether we draft Bronny or how much say LeBron will have in hiring the next coach. A REMINDER:
1) LeBron came here and took us out of the NBA toilet that Jim and Mitch flushed us down.
2) We won a championship in his second season here.
3) If we hired his first pick for head coach that same coach would have most likely still been here and we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now.
I know why a lot of ppl here get crazy when it comes to LeBron. It’s for a reason I’m tired of talking about. I thought after a year or two fans would get over a “FeUd” that only exists in fans insecure minds, but nope. LeBron is still the devil (who has all the same interests and goals as the team but hey common sense popular these days)
Anyway, this clip is a good watch if you’re able to remove the purple and gold lenses. Btw, Steven A called Jeanie cheap too (like Windhorst, without saying the actual word), but that clip was all yelling with some of the same things said in the one posted here.

It is for the media. Endless hours of talking points.
Honestly, even on this sub, I’m not hearing a whole lot of delusion about how attractive the vacancy is, so Windhorst isn’t saying anything remotely shocking
Lakers Nation is no longer a destination spot for players or coaches.
