Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell spoke with the media following a 106-93 loss to the Boston Celtics on May 11, 2024 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
He had a strategy in Game 2 that worked, why go away from it?!?! IT WORKED. He wsn't disciplined. When Mitchell scores a lot in the first half, WE LOSE. Can't win alone bro, gotta bring the team along with you, you can score anytime… Get the others in rythym first, then you close…
Mitchell is a great player. Probably the best in this series. However he can't do it all himself. For close to 3/4 of the game he carried the load. It wasn't until they fell behind by 20+ points that the other player really became engaged.
We see what the Cavs can do when the entire team is engaged and Michelle isn't doing it all. The Cavs can win this series but it means that Garland, Strut, Mobley, Levert and even Wade or Okoro are involved and contributing.
Tough with No Help. 3rd quarter both series has been our worst, in the losses. It's like watching a shorter LBJ… 1 great player trying 2 carry his team & city. Back gotta be about broken. Smh…
i saw multiple times cavaliers players in the 4th qt pass the ball backwards.. to donovan mitchell and just waste time..trying to score easy quick baskets

Man i really respect and appreciate Mitchell. No matter what happens in the off season this guy has given his all during his time in Cleveland
