What about Carter at #9?
Devin Carter also just set an NBA combine record with the fastest 3/4 court sprint time https://t.co/CTCOxGQJSB

I knew nothing about him, but Chris Vernon was talking him up on the show yesterday. He’s 22 years old, with three years of college experience under his belt. Probably has a faster development timeline than most in the draft – ready to be a role player now.
This is a very weird draft. No clear or obvious order (beyond Sarr) of what will be available, so teams have to be ready to take at multiple positions.
If we trade back sure, but not at 9
The lottery just happened, I get it, but there might be a moratorium on low-effort “what about _____ at 9” posts without any thought or input otherwise coming real real soon
Wouldn’t be opposed tbh. Does have a lot of Melt like qualities to him. Problem is when you have Smart and Vince do we need another guy like this.
Will say though he’s a good slasher and finisher which I think we need more of. The lack of reliable rim finishing was really noticeable with Ja and BC out although shooting is good I think it’s isn’t mentioned as much that we were a poor finishing team.
Would be more than happy to have him. I’m sure he’d carve out minutes eventually. Dude is a gamer and be cool to have him and his Dad on the coaching staff. If we keep the pick and can’t get Clingan or Reed I’d be happy for him to be on the team.
I don’t think we need more speed on this team when Ja is one of if not the fastest players in the league. 9th on a backup pg/sg is way too high.
