I truly believe the Lakers are putting these names out there so when they hire JJ they can be like “there weren’t any coaches that moved the needle so they divided to go with the best they thought could best utilize the lakers during LeBrons last few seasons”
jj has zero coaching experience so idk about this. there has to be significant roster changes or tweaks.. give whatever coach we hire a balanced roster. they can’t make magic happen, and they really shouldn’t have to considering this is the lakers and we have ad & bron
If you can’t get a bonified all-star coach, I don’t mind going the all-or-nothing route of getting a completely rookie HC who may turn out great(or turn out shit).
Don’t think settling for a middle-of-the-pack coach would help this team much, so taking the risk is IMO better. Not sure if many people agree with that tho.
