Skip to the 27 minute mark for discussion of the Knicks series and the 41 minute mark for the future of the Pacers.
TL;DL: both guys think the Pacers are in a good spot moving forward for now and, with the new tax system, it would be good value to spend a bit to keep this core together. Also, Lowe loves what Jarace Walker could be.

Not a bad segment, the Hawks comparison is totally legit (if we even make the conference finals).
That’s why I worried about the Pascal trade to begin with IMO. Team already started pushing their chips all in without really proving anything
Have to be careful because the east won’t always be this weak and could be a perennial 1st or 2nd round exit team.
Or maybe they can be that good with what they have/get.
Definitely tough front office decisions ahead
It is so important that Mathurin or Walker take a huge leap.
They kind of touched on this a little when discussing Turner’s contract, but the offseason with more difficult questions/decisions isn’t this summer but next summer. Turner, Jackson, and McConnell will be FAs. Mathurin and Nembhard will be entering the final year of their rookie deals, so there will be drama around what contract extension talks look like. This summer Siakam will sign and they’ll fully guarantee McConnell’s 2025 contract. The only decisions will be around Toppin and Stix unless they decide to take a big swing on a win-now trade.
