There's no debate. We HAVE to tank, unless yall want to end up in this exact same position and have to rebuild again 5-7 years from now

In a salary cap era, where lottery picks are assigned a large salary, i would much rather get value in that pick next year, and spend the money elsewhere. not getting the 6 pick was a huge win
Tanking for an entire season would be awful for the culture. I'd worry about dudes souring on the team and wanting out

I really think we'll be a 8 – 7 seed at best as constructed so if we trade Yak only and the remaining guys still play hard we'll get good development and a top pick, I would be ok with that. I lived through the Raptors of the mid 2000's I can handle one more hard season

Guys saying tanking for one year is bad. Guys… Charlotte has been tanking for ten years. Detroit for how long? Phili did it for how long? Come on…. A 4-5 year rebuild is super fast. Even okc. Took them how long? Prob 7-8 years. But they did it right. They got a super nice young core. Scottie is our shai. RJ is our Jalen Williams, iq is our Cason Wallace , Ochai is our Lou dort , gradey is a sniper. The tank last year helped gradey large. He learned in the fire. we need a centre of the future. Trade yak. Go young. Tank one more year. Maybe trade yak to okc or Memphis. Both have a pretty good pick this year. And they don’t need that pick. They both have to many young players. I say yak and bouchier to okc for ousman deing and the 12th pick and filler. Then we have 12,19,31. We can get yves Messi or Zach edey or maybe kalel ware. I would go for Devin Carter at 19. He’s a back up point guard that fits us perfect. And at 31 you take Ryan Dunn or Keyshawn George. Sign me up
We need one more star beside Scottie. We will never be a championship team if we don’t get another player on Scottie’s level or better. RJ and iq are one small tier below Scottie. Gradey is right there to. Really sucks about koloko. Maybe he can come back.

Tanking isn’t a great idea, we saw the lottery results look at Detroit. Tanking guarantees nothing. Surround the team with young played and rebuild the bench. Take advantage of high spending teams looking to cut salary and grow.
