Why the heck would we gamble for the umpteenth time on a dude who can’t shoot, who on top of it had a season that was below expectations…
One of the most commonly brought up issues with recent iterations of the Raps have been their lack of shooting…

I don’t dislike drafting Collier since he is an effective finisher and he’s probably the only point guard (Note I said PG, there’s a few combo guard this applies to) in the 1st round I would feel good about closing a game with IQ/RJ/SB on the defensive end, at least when it comes to the size that said lineup would have regardless of who the center would be; Isaah is a broad 6’5 PG who’s shown some promise on the defensive end though he’s still got room to improve on that end. The shooting is a bit worrying but as they mention, IC was injured to start and throughout much of the season so I’m willing to give them some benefit of doubt.
That said I still think our biggest need is general size at the wings and not a backup PG/pseudo starter for what is effectively the 1st full season of this retool.
Short answer: no
Long answer: of course not!
Imagine looking at our roster and drafting for need at 19
Draft whoever has the most potential ffs, we need stars man
Collier at 19 would be a major steal I won’t be shocked if he is a top 12 pick tbh, always go for best available not best fit
Sigh. There’s currently about ~5 proven shooters in the top 20 projection right now. This is just a weak draft.

I wish Collier drops to 19 but it won’t happen
