  1. I was sorry I missed this live. Thanks for the content – loved Lu! Gotta say, I hate Dillingham's defense. I almost feel insulted watching it – his effort is almost an affront to basketball. And him being so small makes me skeptical about his potential on that end. But the thing that has made me open to him (in addition to his offensive talent and unusual openness about wanting to play with Wemby) is that: 1) He has the same birthday as Wemby; and 2) Someone on the Spurs subreddit has been calling him Dillingjamón. Lol. Sometimes fate is bigger than all of us. Lol.

  2. I'm really pulling for the Spurs on Castle at 4. His upside is Jimmy Butler and I agree his low end is Josh Hart. You can get a point guard at the 8th pick. Go Spurs Go!.

  3. I think drafting based too much on potential would be a mistake for SA. Cody Williams could be a baby BI in the future but if that’s the case he will take a few years to develop and then you’ll be paying big money on potential again. In contrast Knecht you will have an immediate contributor who will probably never command a huge contract in his NBA career.

  4. Just catching this now, appreciate it chaps 🤝

Edit: 5 mins in and the vibes with yous both n lu is chillin! From the fans you’re welcome back more often lu 🤣🫡

  5. Any two or Castle, Jones and Sochan on the floor at the same time would be ugly. Castle isn’t Maxey he doesn’t look comfortable shooting outside like Maxey always did and that’s from the college 3. Also, what is Dillinghams ceiling? Trae Young? If the Spurs don’t want him now I don’t see how Dlingham can ever fit as the Spurs starting PG. So you’re using your 4th draft pick for spark plug bench scoring?

  6. Outstanding conversation! Great to get a different perspective on some of the Spurs potential picks. Can you reach out and stream a similar conversation with a Western Conference team's vlogger, draft guy?

  7. Even people who want Risacher to succeed dont want him at 1, but it is because it would put too much pressure on him and he still has to develop (that's why the Spurs would be a better home than let's say Washington or Detroit)
Also can we all stop the "skinny" talk ? Wemby was skinny, Giannis was skinny, those are 6'9" 18yos not fed on whey since birth, expecting them to be built like a marvel character is a weird fantasy, I'd rather have them work on their fundamentals than push more weights

  8. Salaün is pronounced with the french "ain" sound in the end, like "Pain" (bread) or "Train" (the french way), I know this one is often difficult for english speakers 😅
Seeing his performance in the playoffs against Paris yesterday, I'm convinced he could be a great 8th pick for the spurs

  9. Personally I really would love Reed, as we are now we just don’t have that many reliable players who project long term going forward and we know he can shoot and be a connective piece, and he’s still not that old either, even if he ultimately comes off the bench, I think he would be an excellent pick that could go with any lineup, ideally we could get him at 8 and then get a more big upswing pick for a wing/guard that’s a bit bigger and has more defensive potential at 4, but I’m really playing for Reed at 8 because we need dudes that’ll be able to shoot and dribble and pass and fit into any lineup

  10. Good stuff as usual, Lu was great. I can get behind Stephon Castle. You guys have tunnel vision on Dillingham. Just accept the fact that he's going to be a horrible defender. What else is he going to say but that he's going to try harder? 😂
